Re: Question: Scrivener 3 (Windows) pandoc compile processing options?

Okay! I better understand what you mean, and in that case it makes more sense that you’d be getting different results at the ODT end result level. If you were to compile to Markdown as a plain file instead, you should see the results as identical whether using MultiMarkdown, Pandoc or additional pos...

It used to get more use, but you're right, lately I haven't seen much.

Re: Scrivenings toggle not working. (unable to switch between group and single file)

Is this a toolbar error specifically, or does the menu command also not work? Keep in mind that Scrivenings, like Corkboard, is supposed to toggle on and off for eligible views. It won't actually do so for single files as there is no logical outcome, but for folders and file groups, it should be swi...

Did it crash after clicking the submit button, or while you were typing? Very odd either way.

In the meanwhile you can sign up for the newsletter on our web page as well (it’s at the very bottom of the page).

Re: Unable to change Folder name using the Folder Title on the Editor window.

The main condition I can think of that would cause this is if you are viewing the folder in Scrivenings mode. In that case, the folder is printed into the heading as a prefix to the section you are currently editing. In that case, neither element is editable. Eventually they hope to fix it so that t...

Re: Is Backup still restricted to DropBox?

Scrivener doesn’t back up to any cloud services, let alone only one or two, not sure where you heard that from. It has an automatic backup feature to your disk, which is enabled by default, and stored in your user Library folder. But you can set the folder to be anywhere you wish, and if saved into ...

Re: Conditional Compilation Limitation

There are several ways you can go about getting more from filters, if you need it—this is indeed an idea that scales well. Most of them will revolve around using Collections as your primary filter, and putting the variability into the collections themselves. The idea is to create a collection for ea...

Re: Is working over Google Drive, cloud storage, still discouraged?

The method I use has been written up in our knowledge base as well . I use a combination of synchronisation, Scrivener’s automatic backups, and a simple workflow, where on device switch I pull the latest backup from the stack to the local disk and work on it from there. How one manages that side of ...

Re: "Right Indent" is extremely misleading (Scrivener 3)

I’ve never heard this argument before, that where a measurement’s origin starts from should define how a thing is referred to in its end product. To me it is the result that matters—where in this case, the right edge of the text block is pulled in from the margin, hence operating as a visual indent ...

Re: Moving text from one project to another

You can select any number of binder items in one project and use the Documents ▸ Copy To Project submenu to target any open project, and specifically a place within that project if you wish. This will do a pretty full copy of the items, by the way, including notes, synopsis and metadata.

Re: Scivener Unusable?

The "crash" you experienced indicates a code signing error. Quite a number of things can cause that, the Sentinel One situation came about because of how that software would inject itself into other running programs and essentially change how they work. The Mac saw that as a viral intrusio...

Re: Internal Scrivener link is not being updated

The image did not come through, but if you are meaning to say that if I link to a document named "Fruit Bats" and that is the text that is visible for the link as well, and later rename the document to "Tropical Fruit Bats", then we would not expect the link text to change. Scriv...

Re: Selecting labels for 'Arrange by Labels'....?

Oh! I see what you meant, you are looking for a way of actually filtering the tracks themselves to Arrange by Label, to only those presently used in the view. I can see the appeal of that, I’ll put it on the list for consideration as kind of optional setting for that view, maybe as a button in the f...

Re: Question: Scrivener 3 (Windows) pandoc compile processing options?

And I tested compile post-processing with the options you specified. It worked, but the .md to .odt output produced isn’t clean. It produces a mixture of rich text and markdown, no matter how I set the options (see below) - turning the various options on or off just produces a different mix markdow...
