Re: STRANGE PROBLEM

I tried that Scrivener zip-file method you suggested-- and it worked! I hadn't been using that method before -- was simply zipping my files via some command on my Macbook. When I e-mailed the new Scrivener zip-file to my other computer it opened with all the documents intact. So while I still don't ...

Re: STRANGE PROBLEM

I tried all the suggestions -- still not working.
It seems as if some data is being lost when the file is being compressed. Is that possible? When I re-open the zip-file even on my first computer it is still missing data.

Re: STRANGE PROBLEM

If I may AMEND my previous question. Some of the files have information in the synopsis category -- but NOT in the middle screen (Main Document). So it's as if SOME of my files are NOT READING THE MAIN TEXT portion. Does anyone know why this might happen? It's as if I've inadvertently BLOCKED OFF th...

STRANGE PROBLEM

I have Scrivener on two computers. Right now it's working fine on one of them. However, on my second computer I have a strange problem. I created a zip-file of a current project, e-mailed it to myself -- and on the second computer, seem to have hit a few wrong keys -- and now -- SOME OF THE FILES, b...

Saving an entire outline

I finished the first draft of a screenplay (in record time, I might add, thanks to Scrivener!) and I am about to start dealing with a pile of producer's notes. I would like to go back into the 90 or 100 index cards that I created on Scrivener (in my Binder) and use them as the basis for a new outlin...

Re: Scrivener on a second computer

Yes, you are quite right (as usual!) I did misread "FInder" for "Binder" -- and now I see exactly what you were talking about -- and it works, perfectly. Thanks Keith!

Re: Scrivener on a second computer

Right, but I want to transfer the whole project as a zipfile. Not just a single file. So it sounds like the way to do it is by "back-up to zipfile."
Right?

Re: Scrivener on a second computer

When you say zipping the project, do you mean backing it up as a Zip file (i.e. via the File Menu?)

Re: Scrivener on a second computer

How would you recommend transferring a 5.5 MB PROJECT FILE?
For some reason, it doesn't seem like i can sent it via e-mail.

Scrivener on a second computer

I'm getting a new laptop to use when I travel later this month. My Scrivener program and my projects are all on my home computer. I'm wondering if there is a way to transfer the necessary information onto my new laptop (when I get it), and then activating Scrivener, etc. And then, when I get home, t...

Importing Movie Magic

I have a question about the best way to import a file from Movie Magic to Scrivener. So far it seems the best way is to save the file as a PDF and then import it into the Research section of a project. The drawback there is that the file can't be edited in Scrivener. I wonder if there is an easy way...

Cursor size

Is there a way to adjust the size of the cursor while editing a document, or to make it stop blinking?

Re: Line spacing on a text document

This didn't work. The document still appears in the window as single-spaced.
