Re: Default font...

That's the one, thanks. The article Kinsey posted is about how to import fonts if you want to use fonts that aren't available on iOS. If you just want to change the default formatting for new documents on iOS, here's how (it's very easy): http://scrivener.tenderapp.com/help/kb/ios/changing-the-defaul...

Default font...

Enjoying the new app but struggling to find out (looked in the manual) how you change the default font used in the editor. Do I have to change it individually in each document?

Re: Taskpaper 3

You might want to try WorkFlowy if Taskpaper doesn't work for you. I have it open when writing and jot notes in it as I go.

Re: iThoughts and Scapple

iThoughts for iPad looks good but then I explored the Mac version for syncing purposes. £40 is hardly competitive pricing given the crowded market.

Freeform option disappeared

Are there circumstances where the Freeform option in Corkboard is disabled? It doesn't appear and I've searched high and low for a way to 'enable' it.

Thanks

Re: Novlr (online novel writing software)

I can't quite see the benefits of an online version of Scrivener, or am I missing something?*

I suppose if you had no computer of your own, are trusting of The Cloud, and can only work from Internet cafes, public libraries or are surreptitiously writing a novel at work.*

Is it me or has the ability to paste pictures onto a map been dropped?

I use Scapple to map out and develop individual stories, so it would discombobulate me to use it to track the stages of story development as well. :?

KanBan

I've started using the KanBan system for keeping tabs on ideas and projects through various phases of development. Essentially you have columns (usually To Do, In Progress, Complete) and you drag tasks or cards from one column to the other (or move a sticky on a board) as the status changes. I think...

Re: Tree - a horizontal outliner

Two others to explore and compare: Ginko https://gingkoapp.com/ LitLift http://www.litlift.info/ Let's not forget that a spreadsheet has both rows & columns for outlining purposes. Thanks for pointing me at Ginkoapp. It's a similar concept to Tree but more suited to lots of text (& pictures...

Re: Delineato Pro

The fact that you don't need a central idea or node is one of the things I like about it. Ultimately it it's very pretty but I'll stick to Scapple.

Update: There are definitely keyboard controls for creating/editing nodes.

Visual Understanding Environment (VUE)

Here is an interesting https://vue.tufts.edu/index.cfm tool, similar in some ways to Tinderbox, perhaps not as sophisticated (so simpler to use), but is an open source project used in academia. Lots of information on the website and an easy-to-follow user guide in wiki form. It took me no time at al...
