How can I export my options from the beta if I can't open the beta?

I just get a window saying the beta expired on 3/31 and to download a new one - but the beta forum says to export my settings before downloading the official 3.0 release

Re: Possible to make a block of text appear in two documents?

OK, I just have to clean up my process. I like the Outliner a lot but not being to emphasize text isn't working to hell my figure out plotholes.

@tiho_d splitting documents could turn one doc into a bunch of cards on the corkboard?

Possible to make a block of text appear in two documents?

I know we can link to documents but here's my situation: I started my outline in a single document (ie writing it old school) rather than the Outliner view. I prefer this to the outliner view because I can bold, color code & highlight text (the outliner's labels are helpful but not enough). As i...

Is it possible to pop out a file into a second window?

I have two monitors and it would be supercool to have the main Scrivener interface in one monitor while a single document is visible in the other monitor. My monitors are two different sizes and resolutions so I can't just stretch the interface to fill up both as the text becomes way too small on on...

Re: Project title & full name meta data?

It's now available via the compile window. The right-side pane has a few icons near the top, one of which leads you to author, abbreviated title, and full title fields. THANK YOU! I totally overlooked those icons when I checked the Compile multiple times. It already had my first & last name, wh...

Project title & full name meta data?

For the life of me, I can't figure out where to edit the project title and my full name - basically the project properties. I'm using Anthony Johnston's comics template and it's referring to a menu that has moved somewhere else (Project > Meta-Data Settings… > Project Properties). I tried searching ...

Re: Applying Keywords to Multiple Documents

There's also a (very slightly) quicker way: With multiple documents selected in the binder, right click on the keyword(s) you want to apply and select 'Apply Keywords to Selected Documents'. You can use this context menu to remove keywords from multiple documents as well. BTW, if you click on a key...

Is there a way to select from a set of existing keywords?

When I'm adding keywords to a card, I have to type the whole keyword out. Shouldn't it know what the existing keywords are and let me choose from them or add a new one? Or maybe I'm spoiled from how WordPress handles tags.

Mainly I'm trying to figure out some themes and hopefully keywords can help.

Re: Best way to manage reference photos?

I noticed the 'Insert image linked to file' after posting, and did that with a few pictures that I wanted to be in the research docs. But most of them I removed from Scrivener and saved in an images folder (which I can easily batch optimize if needed). So my file size went from 318mb (!!!) to 6mb.

Best way to manage reference photos?

I've been interspersing photos amongst text in my documents (kinda like a web page) but I'm noticing that docs with lots of photos take forever to load. Is there a better way to save photos? Or that's how it's going to be with image files, and perhaps I should optimize them first? (which I really do...

I got the same error after installed the 64bit HiDPI version. I'm downloading the regular beta now to revert.
