Re: Scrivener for iOS: yea or nay?

Dear Silverdragon I have used Scrivener since it first came out in 2007. Thought about your comment above last night. Reread your recent post about ADHD and how some apps can free the user. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=329656#p329656 Those two posts—with their distance an...

Re: Scrivener for iOS: yea or nay?

Bought it. Used it. Frustrated by the reliance on—and performance of—Dropbox. Gave up on it. As a standalone, it’s fab—I’d be happy to have it on my Mac (alongside or replacing Scrivener 3) if the developer would release it for macOS. But if syncing with a Mac via Dropbox, it is a “nay, nay, nay, na...

Re: Default to "open in external editor"?

CTRL CMD O (the letter O, not a zero) or click the right-facing curved arrow in the footer (which can be turned on, if necessary, at View > Editor Layout > Show Footer View).

Re: How to import a multi-page PDF all at once

Just an Automator workflow that uses inbuilt macOS tools supplied by Apple. The workflow is in a zip file. Unzipped and then clicked, it will offer to install in ~/Library/Services. If you right click before installation (or if you install first and then right click the installed file in the directo...

Re: regex

I don’t think that can be done with regex in Scrivener.

Markdown would work, by searching for the word and replacing it with the same word (or phrase) bound by italics.

FIND
italicised

REPLACE
*italicised*

But that would have significant implications on the compile options.
