Re: How to select to copy and paste into another program

If I'm understanding you correctly (and that's a big 'if') you can click on, for example, your Draft/Manuskript, Research, Outline or whatever folder and review it in Scrivenings mode. Right click within the Scrivening mode page and select 'Copy All Documents then simply ctrl-v to paste into your pr...

Download the beta from here and follow the instructions on installing to a different folder than your existing Version 1.xx.xx copy... https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=40621 If you open a version 1 project, the beta will firstly make a copy of it and then open it as ...

Re: Way to Lock Corkboard or Outline view as a view?

Ctrl-Shift-L is the shortcut to 'lock in place' if that's any help ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I use it for a corkboard view on one split (locked) whilst navigating the other views according to my needs.

Uncheck the box 'Scrollbars next to next' box, restart and see what happens.

To answer your second issue first, go to File - Options or press the F12 key at the top right of your keyboard somewhere) and under the 'Editing' heading select the 'Formatting' tab and see if anything there looks like what you want. formatting editor.png As to your first issue, if I'm reading corre...

Re: Feature request

As Brookter above suggests - this is from my latest windows beta across two large screens using Quick Reference and copy holders. I think eight or ten was the most I had open at one time and that was purely to see if I could. Obviously, just because I could didn't mean I should. quick reference.png ...

Re: Importing web links

I'm getting "This Scrivener for Windows Release Candidate 10 will expire after 15 October 2020." - can't see where to apply the license key though - any takers? Don't worry about that - either the new Version 3 will be released or a new beta will before it expires. Has been so for a while...

Re: Importing web links

Update to the latest beta for Windows - the quick reference can be found under 'Navigate - Quick Reference' and if the 'Windows - Float Quick Reference Panel' preference has been selected you can move that panel around the screen or across to another monitor as required.

Re: Snapshots - how do I name them?

Ensure that the 'Snapshot with title' icon is on your toolbar (via the 'Customize Toolbars' option).

Click on it and when the box opens, give it a name.

Re: Compatibility issue

Whilst it's not possible to save back to the V1.xx in the Windows beta version, you can run both versions side-by-side and simply drag folders between the two versions and 're-save' in the V1.xx again, if that helps.

Okay - just being in the Windows section of the forum I guess the comment wasn't relevant then.

I was confused. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Compatibility issue

Where do you save to an older version?

'Save as' (in the beta) doesn't offer a 'save as earlier version' that I can find ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe I'm a little slow.

Re: World Building and Character Building Tools?

Not sure if this is of any help but there is a nice template/project that contains pretty much what you discuss in your original post. I use it and chop/change to fit with my fantasy writing (which is best described as 'fantasy procrastination' ). You may find it useful ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ world build...

Re: Novel Outlining Template

I've downloaded it but I can't figure out how to import this. Note where you have unzipped the template to. Open Scrivener and select 'New Project'. When it opens your 'Project Templates' box, select 'Options' (bottom left) and 'Import Templates'. Navigate to wherever you unzipped the template to a...
