Blank line in the Project Templates list

When selecting New Project from the File menu, the Project Templates dialog appears, but there is no template name where I would expect to see "Custom" or something similar. Editing the template info (other than leaving the category as "Custom") does nothing. Project templates - ...

Re: Unbelievably slow

I posted to that thread...

You may not get an answer there. That is the Beta Release forum, which can be replied to, but no new messages are allowed. And I think many people have stopped looking at that forum, now that 3.0 has been released.

Can you show a screenshot...

You have to first set the Compile For to Kindle or ePub, then double-click the section layout and you will see this:

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Toolbar Display Title

Hrmm. I'm curious about the first backslash in your SUBST command. I tried it with and without the backslash on the drive being "created" and the results were the same -- I could rename the substitution. "C:\Users\Charlson\Dropbox\Private Documents\Charlson DB\Writing\Scrivener3\Proj...

Re: File names of search results?

Thoughts? If you right-click on a Search result and select Copy Document Link, the "id" at the end of the link is the name of the folder within the project that contains the resulting Content.rtf file. But I think you would be better off by using something like FileLocator Pro from Mythic...

Re: Virus issue during Scrivener 3.0 first start.

I have been using Webroot for years. It's small, fast, and reliable. $38/year covers three machines; $30/year for one machine. Have never had to whitelist Scrivener.

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Toolbar Display Title

Apparently, relabeling a SUBST drive volume is not allowed. Maybe permissions are part of the equation, because I can definitely rename a SUBST drive. I created one from the command line with "SUBST D: \ C:\Dev\Applications" and it shows up in File Explorer. I then right-click, select Ren...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Toolbar Display Title

So, if anyone knows the secret sauce, I'd appreciate being in on the "how-to".

If I create a SUBST location then right-click on it, the Rename option is available. Do you not get that when you right-click on the name?

Re: Scrivener 3 freezes on Project Templates screen

The tech specs for Scrivener say it should run under Windows 7, as long as you have service pack 1 or later installed, and have the .Net Framework version 4.6.2 or later installed. Does you computer meet those requirements?

Re: How to delete a line below a menu letter?

s there any way to turn this off? Not that I am aware of. Those lines are provided by Windows when the programmer puts certain information into the program's resource file(s), so to turn them off, L&L would have to provide a way to modify the resources on the fly. You could try something like R...

Send an email to support. Licensing issues are normally not handled through the forum.

Re: Release notes ?

The download link is right there, at the link you posted....

OP is asking for the release notes, not the download link. The beta forum posting that normally had the RC change list now just talks about the release of 3.0.

Re: Error (Version 3 release) - Could not open RTF file for writing

In most cases, this is caused by antivirus software blocking Scrivener. Whitelist Scrivener.exe in your antivirus software and try again.
