adding new items as cards on the corkboard

When in corkboard view, is there a way to have Cmd-N "stay" in index card mode, instead of switching to a text document?

Yes, of course a hardware error can happen to any sector of my drive. But I've had zip-files on my Windows machine getting corrupted and only after some hard work been able to recover some of the content. My questions is if files inside a package like a .scriv-file is more in danger for hardware err...

integrity of os x-packages

I'm a newcomer to OS X, so this might be a dumb question: From search the forums, I've understood that the .scriv-files that store my various projects are actually something like ordinary folders. My concern is what happens with a .scriv-file if I get a harddrive error just where the file is. Would ...

quick'n'easy export

Shift-Cmd-E exports all items selected in the binder as single files. But before the export, the user is asked for a new folder where to put the files. Is it somehow possible to export the files to an existing folder? And a related question: If I mark a couple of scrivenings and use Edit Scrivenings...

With short stories, up to 3000 characters, what benefits do you see from using Scrivener at all?

I'm not trolling, I just found Scrivener and it seems like a great app. But as a journalist mainly writing shorter news articles, I'm not sure if it will bring any benefits to my work.

Thanks. That fixed the problem.

I'm new in the Mac world. What causes permissions to be faulty set, and how does OS X track what they are supposed to be?

Can't install Scrivener

Just downloaded Scrivener for my first time. But I can't get it installed on my Macbook. When I double click the dmg, I first get the information text and when I click "Agree", a process indicator shows that the unpacking has begun. Then the indicator disappears, but there is no disk image...
