Negative word count

Hi,

Can someone explain how I get a negative word count (see image)
Screenshot 2020-11-25 at 11.30.10.png

I had 5400/4500 words. Selected the entire document and deleted the words, then started writing and I am getting the negative count.

Thanks,

Re: SAVE PDF TO SCRIVENER - not working with Big Sur OS

Hello, Every time I use "Preview" to open a PDF and want to save it to Scrivener by using the option SAVE PDF TO SCRIVENER in Preview, the document doesn't show in Scrivener. My MacOS is the new Big Sur. Is it just me or there's a glitch with BigSur? Thanks Hi flean, I have tried this fro...

Re: Should I upgrade to Big Sur now, or wait?

Hello, I upgraded this morning and here are my findings. (Standard MacBook Pro 2019 8gig 256ssd) - Big Sur is a lot quicker when loading apps. - Safari is no longer this painful beast that sends my processor to 90c. - Battery life is a bit better. I think this is due to the Safari not being a pain. ...

Grammar report v Realtime grammar issues found

Hello, Apologies if this has been answered before but I cannot find it on the forums. After running the Grammar report, I work through each issue until no issues are found. I then, on the same piece of text, let the Realtime function run and it the app comes up with 20, 30, 40 grammar issues. Can so...

Re: Inline Annotations Highlight Colour

Thanks MimeticMouton

I really like the idea of marking the annotations with tags. I will give that a shot.

Thanks,

Re: Inline Annotations Highlight Colour

Bingo! @Silverdragon, this is exactly what I wanted. I can now see them more easily, @MIMETICMOUTON - I am going to give this a go over the weekend as I will probably need different styles of inline annotation as I go through the novel. Character specific inline annotations for example. Am I correct...

Re: Inline Annotations Highlight Colour

Thanks RobG I sort of figured that just before I read your post. I was highlighting the text area inside the annotation and changing the background which made it look like the annotation background had a different colour. Would be nice if we could highlight the annotation with a different colour. It...

Inline Annotations Highlight Colour

I am probably missing something really basic here but is there a way to set a default highlight colour for inline annotations? If I select an inline annotation text colour, it persists for all the following annotations, but for the life of me I cannot get the inline annotations highlight colour to p...

Hide comments in composition mode.

Hello,

Can we have an option to hide comments in composition mode please. I know we can change colours to 'hide' certain parts of it but the box is distracting. Add 5 comments to a piece of text and it gets a bit unreadable.

Thanks,
