Re: Windows 10 Printing document to an electronic file

Using Scriverner 3.0, I could ctrl-p and print the current document to Onenote (desktop). Can you print from another Windows program, such as Word, to Onenote (desktop)?

Re: scrivenr3.0 license failed, indicating a network problem.

Click “Enter license“ ,a dialog box pops up: No Internet connection. An Internet connection is required to check whether you qualify for an upgrade discount. My operating system is windows10 1909。 I am in China, is it a network problem? I have used the beta version and have written 400,000 words. T...

Re: [BUG] Menus are still rendering incorrectly - this was pointed out in the last release

Yes, this is a know problem with the Theme style sheets which is not easy to fix unfortunately. We tried fixing it few times, but the result caused bigger issues. We will give it another try when we have less pressing issues to fix. I see what you mean, the poblem goes away if I change back to the ...

Re: [RC 21] General performance problems.

The same issue was discussed recently: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=65604
Likely related to the 20K section size.

Re: [BUG] Menus are still rendering incorrectly - this was pointed out in the last release

My Surface Pro 5 does the same on both the touch screen and external monitor. Wondering if it's related to a Scrivener setting, I've attached my settings and theme files..

RC20 looks good for me - my headings and drop cap styles, display correctly.

Thanks!

Re: Composition mode loses edit point when in Scrivening view

Jez wrote:It's a large manuscript (100,000 words). However, switching to Scrivenings view, I am handling a much smaller chunk (eg 5000 words, 15 documents) as the manuscript is divided up by sub-folders.

I don't often use composition mode, but see the same thing on a similarly structured 110K document.

Re: Formatting for .mobi

I tested the compile for epub3 and mobi, saving the output, as suggested. According to the generated body xtml files, the epub complile includes the css link, but the mobi compile does not. epub3 compile: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml...

Re: Formatting for .mobi

I unpacked a Scrivener produced .mobi file with the KindleUnpack Calibre plugin and found a potential issue with the enclosed epub file. The chapter xtml files within the EPUB are missing the link to the stylesheet css file. <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="../St...

Re: Formatting for .mobi

This issue has been around for ages. I first reported it for RC5 in May 2020. Since then, I've done the same as you - use Calibre to convert to Mobi format. It would be nice to get it fixed for the release version. That said, when I last published a book via Amazon KDP, the web page suggested upload...

Re: [LH4861] RC6: Error message trying to add separator to Mobi Ebook

Thanks for the fix. It was just two images, and I worked around it by importing the image files with Sigil and editing the src path.

Re: [LH4861] RC6: Error message trying to add separator to Mobi Ebook

I don't know whether this is a new bug, or something that got introduced in the fix, but I found a problem when I tested on a finished project. In the project, I had some images in ebook front-matter, imported using <$img> tags, but when compiled the image src tag is garbled: <div class="front-...

Re: compiling for kindle

Another thing to consider - if you're compiling to MOBI for publishing with KDP is that Amazon now promotes upload of EPUB. over MOBI.

Last time I uploaded a MOBI file, KDP prompted me to use EPUB instead. MOBI files still work, but they seem to prefer EPUB these days.
