I noticed the spell check in Scrivener for Windows is bad. Does it get better in Scrivener 3 for Windows? I am disappointed for this reason. Otherwise Scrivener is great. The word "bachelorette" was marked as misspelled.
So Scrivener 3.0 didn't run on the old Mac(El Capitan) and Scrivener 2.9 won't run on this new Mac (Catalina). Is an upgrade to 3 required? I am mostly a Linux under wine guy, so I wanted to see where the Beta was supposed to go. Supposedly kerning works better for e-books on the Mac, so that is why...
I know a lot of us run the Windows version of Scrivener under wine. There is a project similar to wine to run MacOS programs under Linux called darling. Has anyone here tried running the Mac OS version of Scrivener under darling? Was it a failure or did it actually work?
I usually use the Windows version under wine and don't have this issue. But I enter accented characters with the right alt key. Will that work or do you have to use compose?
Should I move to the Beta or stick with the supported version? I am dealing with issues in aspell and would like to try the improved spellcheck, but I don't know if I should move to the Scrivener 3.0 until it is supported. If I go to 3.0, this break compatibility with my Mac as it is too old to run ...
Is there a way I can pre-buy the 3.0 release of Scrivener for Windows? I have used the 1.9 release for years, I use the iOS version, and I really enjoy the product. However, I just finished Nanowrimo and want to use my discount code to pay for the upgrade since I don't qualify for a free upgrade sin...
I tried installing the Scrivener beta for Linux under Linux Mint XFCE 19.1, and it installed OK as far as I know, but it never started up. No error message. It just never started. I'm running it in a virtual machine (VirtualBox). I have XFCE 19.1 AMD 64 Bit, running it with 4GB memory with no other...
If it stops working under Wine, then I'll run it in a virtual machine. If the VM stops working, I'll go with another product or write my own. I've bought Scrivener for Windows, Mac, and iOs and I'd buy a Linux native one if I could, but they aren't keeping the old Beta up to date with the other vers...
I had Scrivener for Windows installed under wine since the Linux Beta stopped getting updates. It worked great until I tried to upgrade to Scrivener version 1.9.12.0. The error message from Paddle said I needed .Net 4.5 despite the new version of Scrivener requiring only 4.0. So anyway, registration...
