Re: Scrivener 1.9.16 unexpectedly reverted to trial mode

The issue happened today again and like the previous time I fixed inserting email and serial number reactivating the license. But if it would happen on my laptop when I'm outside and I can't check my serial number? It's annoying. As suggested in this thread, I sent a message to https://www.literatur...

Scrivener 1.9.16 unexpectedly reverted to trial mode

Today, I opened Scrivener (version 1.9.16) on my desktop* and after 1 hour of work, more or less, suddendly appeared a message told me the license was not valid/inactivated/blacklisted (I don't remember the exact phrase) and the program reverted to trial mode. I fixed (it seems so far) just reactiva...

Re: License manager ended unexpectedly

Tested the second fix on Intel-based Windows 10 Pro (full updated) notebook and AMD-based Windows 10 Home (full updated) desktop . First run : Intel notebook: 15 seconds from launch to be ready, Scrivener shows the 100% text scale before to switch at 130% (used) and become usable AMD desktop: 14-15 ...

Re: License manager ended unexpectedly

ok, I tested the altered exe me too. I can't say if it fixed the 2 months verification error (cause it happens occasionally) but it improved the hang time at start (and hopenfully freezing, I got one again just today before to test the new .exe) First run, even with the new .exe. Scrivener hung 15-2...

Re: unable to verify your activation for more then two months

Guys, can you please report the Windows version you are using. Are you all using Windows 7? yesterday got 2 times the "two months" message (despite running Scrivener as administrator seemed fix, for me, the issue and related freezing at startup, days ago), just the message anyway, not fre...

Re: Error: A connection to the licensing server could not be established

I didn't get again the License Engine broken connection error after I run Scrivener as administrator, but I got again, today, more times, the freeze on start up when I not run the program as administrator and I suspect this freeze (not happening all times) was a license provider related issue too. S...

Re: Error: A connection to the licensing server could not be established

Hi, I use Scrivener daily and today (9 am CET September 02 2019) I had me too the License Engine broken connection error shown in the second post of this thread. I immediately closed Scrivener and restarted again and it stuck on loading my project forcing me to quit via task manager (this happened e...

Comparing backups

Hi, I'm working with Scrivener on the same project on two computers (desktop and notebook) saving the project on local hard disk with automatic backup (on saving and closure) on Onedrive. If I need to restore a backup (tipically when I change device) I download the backup file from Onedrive, delete ...
