Re: Buying ProWritingAid? Read this first.

I think it is the copying and pasting that is the problem. Close Scrivener and open the file in PWA. Save when you are done editing and close PWA. Open your file again in Scrivener and your formatting should be unchanged. See https://help.prowritingaid.com/article/10-how-to-open-scrivener-docs-in-pr...

Thanks Katherine. You are correct; by disabling save on exit I was able to open other projects. Support ticket seems the way to go. Many thanks.

Re: Error: A connection to the licensing server could not be established

This is the version I have: Version: 1.9.14.0 - 13 Sep 2019 which says it is up to date. Have reentered license details but same project opens and won't close without crashing during backup at 55%. Yes, have rebooted several times, one of which allowed the entry and acceptance of license. Any though...

Re: Error: A connection to the licensing server could not be established

I too am having this problem, mine saying it has been two months since connection and it is reverting to trial mode. This complicates things because I cannot now close my project. It wants to back it up and always simply shuts down after a slow climb to 55% of the backup. Reinstalling does not help,...

Re: How to set default text formatting for whole project

Thank you Argoed and JimRac. All is now working as desired. I gave up trying options and was just browsing the menu options and saw one in Tools marked Scriptwriting which had its icon highlighted. I turned that off and voila! ... there were the desired font and paragraph settings. I have two more t...

How to set default text formatting for whole project

I have completed the intro exercise, and read and reread what I am told are the appropriate sections of the manual, I have read others' similar questions on this forum, and whatever I tried has failed. How do I set the default formatting for my project so that every document opened defaults to Times...

Re: Best practice using Dragon 15 Pro with Scrivener

In the absence of any answers, trial and error has taught me that Dragon will probably be useful in the composition of original work, or for reading in text. Attempting to use a combination of split windows with an audio file in one of the windows and dictating with Dragon into the other, via Dragon...

Uni assignments, Scrivener and Zotero or Endnote or ...

I am starting a uni subject toward the end of this month and will need to reference consistently according to a modified Harvard style guide. Endnote or Zotero have been my go-tos in the past but Scrivener seems to have so many possibilities that suggestions from experienced users here will give me ...

Best practice using Dragon 15 Pro with Scrivener

I am a brand new user to Scrivener, still working through the introductory material (up to Compiling so far) and was taken with the option of using split editor windows for transcribing audio. I am also a relative newcomer to Dragon. I did search the forums for Dragon and found a few answers to spec...
