Session Targets timeout - Session Targets will be reset

This shows up every time I start Scrivener and has for the last 2-3 versions. What's it telling me? And does it need to? Every time?

Re: [LH3195] Comments won't go away

Bumping this. It's still happening, at least for me. Yeah it went away and came back. I'm installing 2.9.9.6 this morning, but as of 2.9.9.5 it was still happening. It seems to happen only when an entire paragraph is selected when you create a comment. The problem is that whatever internal marker i...

Re: [BUG] Just installed 2.9.9.4 and immediately, obviously, mouse and keyboard LAG and momentarily FREEZE

Thanks wordjoy, but I've been using PCs/DOS since the 80s, I'm a retired software developer, and I've been using Windows since version 2. By the time I report a problem, I've already done all the troubleshooting that 95% of folks are aware of -- and then some. I wasn't smokin nuthin, lol. And unfort...

[BUG] Just installed 2.9.9.4 and immediately, obviously, mouse and keyboard LAG and momentarily FREEZE

Already checked myself on this one. Everything else on my Windows 10 machine works normally, mouse and keyboard are snappy as usual. Scrivener was fine yesterday, "BETA 45". The behavior I'm talking about isn't just sluggishness, but forces me to make 2-3 attempts with the mouse merely to ...

Re: [BUG] Automatic backups STILL not working

Glad you figured out your problem, skeptic23, but I've got no bug to fix, as I'm a customer, just like you. Sorry you found my tone trivializing, that was definitely not my intent. I actually made no assumptions, I was just going by what you wrote in the bug report. I specifically had you press the...

Re: [BUG] Automatic backups STILL not working

Also, I question your verification method. I don't always see the pop-up, yet when I go to the backup folder, the backups are always there. Since you didn't explicitly mention it: If you go open the backup folder from Settings, is the folder empty? File > Options > Backup > Open backup folder Best,...

[LH4521] Automatic backups STILL not working

It seems like my bug report of March 4 has been ignored ? Not a single response. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=60818 And the problem has survived two updates now. As of version 2.9.9.3, automatic backups do not work . They used to. I have options set to backup on ...

Pls add a hit count to each item on project search hits list in the binder

@KB This is my first suggestion (to memory anyway) so I want to start off with an EXCELLENT JOB on Scrivener ATTABOY!!! I was a developer in a past life and well acquainted with how needy, pestering, entitled, and rude "users" can be (always hated that term -- I ain't no pusher! :P ) Lover...

Re: [BUG] Random page repositioning

Additional note: The page repositions when I double-click to highlight a word, hit and miss. Sometimes several times in a row, and other times not. Fortunately it only goes so far as to center the word I double-clicked to the middle of the edit window.

[BUG] Random page repositioning

This has been happening since at least the beginning of the year. I didn't report it because I was sure someone else would. I don't see a report anywhere. While editing a document/file, suddenly and unexpectedly, the entire page will reposition. Disorienting to say the least. It happens after I've d...

[BUG] Automatic backups AND "Back Up Now" not working

This is a similar problem to https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=60513&p=308439&hilit=automatic+backup#p308439 but I'm writing it up here because there were questions about credentials there that don't apply to my case. I have a brand new PC and I just did a cle...

Re: [BUG?] Is Beta 36 SUPPOSED to use almost 3 GBs of RAM?

Yes, when you select a folder you're going into Scrivenings mode. In the screenshot, you've got the Scrivenings mode button selected in your toolbar. Well I guess your language threw me. I never leave Scrivener mode (almost, and thanks for confirming that's what that is,) so when I click on a folde...

Re: [BUG?] Is Beta 36 SUPPOSED to use almost 3 GBs of RAM?

Well, it created a backup just fine after bumping the memory usage up over 2.3 GB, so maybe the problems aren't related, unless there's some limit I hit when mem usage was up to 2.9 GB...

Re: [BUG?] Is Beta 36 SUPPOSED to use almost 3 GBs of RAM?

Have you been going into and out of Scrivenings mode? This looks like that. I always work in this mode. I keep forgetting the terminology, but isn't this "Scrivenings" mode? Untitled.png Switching back and forth between the bulletin board and this mode didn't increase memory, but your ide...

Re: [BUG?] Is Beta 36 SUPPOSED to use almost 3 GBs of RAM?

How long did you have it open for? It's about 350-400MB for me at the moment, and doesn't seem to be changing much. Most of the day, but not as long as usual. I often go 12-14 hours (not necessarily writing all that time, lol.) I closed it awhile and just started it up to check. A bit over 200 MB n...
