Re: Search not working

Oh well, I resolved it myself. I didn't see that tiny little arrow. It seems I had selected something wrong. Select "all" did the trick.

Search not working

I don't know what I'm missing here. When I click on the magnifying glass I will find nothing. Shouldn't there be a list of documents that contain my key words? I use Scrivener for some months now.
Anyways, I attached a screen shot. I searched for "Template" and got 0 results

Re: Why is it impossible to compile a file with headings that work in MS Word?

I think you need to create the styles before going to Compile, when you are in the Editor. Styles in compile only format the text, it doesn’t give the text a ”style". You mean I have to format the headings in the Editor? I use the titles of the documents as "headings". In the text fi...

Re: Why is it impossible to compile a file with headings that work in MS Word?

I will try to explain what I did: I use Scrivener in German so please bear with me. First, I go to Compile and in the Panel you can see I created may own "Style" called Manuskript. All I need is a heading (that works) and the text of the chapter - that's it. Then I double click on "Ma...

Why is it impossible to compile a file with headings that work in MS Word?

I tried everything now, but nothing works. I want to compile a file to .docx with headings that I can see in my table of contents in Word. I used the format "heading 1" provided by Scrivener, I even tried to import headings from a Word file. But it won't show me the headings in Word. I fou...

Re: Translation mistake

There are many other problems with the German version. Like in Scrivener -> Preferences where you find a lot of text with NO translation at all. I guess those are new features and nobody had time to translate? Another translation problem is in the compile panel (screenshot attached) which is confusi...

Re: Compiling to Word with "Styles"

On a sidenote: The file worked for me, but I coudn't reproduce it, and I followed everything step by step. It only works if I import the formatting (heading) used in this file.

Re: Compiling to Word with "Styles"

Please confirm that you are using the Win Scrivener 3 beta. The current release version of Windows Scrivener does not support styles, so none of the advice in this thread will work. Katherine I have the same problem. I use Scrivener 3.0.3 (3032) I cannot make it work either. MS Word doesn't recogni...
