Re: Scrivener for students?

Let me give two cents here.. many many months after the initial question... (Anyway, at the time the question was made, I was using Scrivener for that exact purpose.. just had not registered here yet.) I started to try Scrivener some years ago, looking for a platform, to write my future book, with a...

Re: An Open Source Substitute for Scrivener

I’m a bit confused. Why do you post this if not to promote the software? What confuses you? Plume Creator is open source, could substitute Scrivener and I considered it a good find to share. I'm testing and it seems to be a good program; But I did not consider it in the point that would substitute ...

Re: An Open Source Substitute for Scrivener

Hi,

Manuskript is cool, and there is another one called Plume Creator that I found on Debian repository.
Both seems pretty good. Anyway I am still using Scrivener along with the other two.

Re: best option for running Scrivener on Mint 19?

Hello, I use Scrivener on Windows (plus IOS for occasional iPad use). I’m now switching my main operating system to Linux (Mint 19, XFCE). What would be my best (most stable and useable) option for running Scrivener - using the old Linux beta (if that’d work?), running the windows version under WIN...

Re: Linux 1.9.01 Beta Released

Hi there! I reviewed my last attempt to make a DEB archive for the now old Scrivener for linux, and I guess am achieved the goal. NOTE: The intention of this packing is to keep alive the linux version of this awesome software, with fixes and adjustments on the last original released versions of its ...

Re: Linux 1.9.01 Beta Released

@sninkychan, thank you. It must work into any updated distro (Debian 9 based and newer ones), but the installation would be problematic in old distros (Debian 8 and before) due to dependencies includes, so please be careful. For any distro based on Debian 8 and before, I think the LL's package is ok...

Re: Linux 1.9.01 Beta Released

@Alexo: Well, your contribution is a day on the board, so the admins should have seen it and had the chance to react... Maybe your deb-file is a fine solution for Linux, for shure it looks interessing. But - it must be possible to try out. I cant't download it "normal" from 4share and I w...

Re: Linux 1.9.01 Beta Released

Hi everybody, I've tried Scrivener last year to make my lesson plans and liked it very much. It fitted in well for my uses as a biology teacher. I am a Debian user and along with learning to use the program, I had a need to make a DEB package to Debian 9 (Stretch), where I fixed some small quirk thi...
