Re: Stanza & iPhone/iPod

Yes. I was talking about the iPhone app. I haven't looked into Stanza for the desktop. You have much more information on that then I do.

Re: Stanza & iPhone/iPod

Stanza is fantastic but you cannot create anything in it. It is just a reader. It reads a whole host of ebook formats but doesn't create jack.

For reading books on the iPhone, Stanza is good. I read my own pdf files in PDF Expert, and use Stanza to read free books available online.

Re: Scrivener, Services, and Snow Leopard

There are some neat things about how Services are implemented in Snow Leopard but you you have hit on one of the problems in the implementation. We don't know which Service component belongs to which app any more. Developers will have to make that clear in the naming of the Service.

Re: Yojimbo 2.0 a contender?

The update is incremental. Nothing large changed. They concentrated on making the tagging interface and how the program deals with tags better. It is a program I use as a general dustbin for stuff. I drop a whole bunch of stuff into it and periodically search something from it and then tag it. Very ...

Re: Activation?

Snapz Pro is from Ambrosia. They develop both utilities and games. One of their games, the one before Escape Velocity Nova was a very popular game amongst pirates and they came up with a scheme where, you have to launch a separate program and it activates the program. What is interesting is that you...

Re: Activation?

I love the program and am very impressed with the developer, that is you, Keith. I have been thinking about this and debating whether I should jump into this one or not... Apparently, the debate was won by the give your 2 cents group. The audience for Scrivener is a small niche. It might grow into a...

Re: version 1.5.2 and SN activation crash

So, I went here: http://shopper.esellerate.net/ and downloaded the esellerate engine updater. Ran it. Then installed Scrivener version 1.5.2 again and it asked for the activation prompt and it did its thing and disappeared. Everything works now and I can use the latest version. So, at least for me, ...

Re: version 1.5.2 and SN activation crash

Nope. Internet connection is fine. And yes, I am running Snow Leopard latest developer release, which apparently might be the final shipping version.

version 1.5.2 and SN activation crash

The program launches and asks to activate my SN with the eSellerate servers. I press OK. The product crashes. This is an endless loop.

Re: Question about Typinator

TextExpander (http://www.smileonmymac.com/TextExpander/index.html) is a competitor and it costs 29.95 regularly and is available for 8 more days at $22.46 (https://www.mupromo.com/deal/809/textexpander). Typinator's (http://www.ergonis.com/products/typinator/index.html) initial cost is a tad cheaper...

I am using Leopard with Scrivener

I am running the Leopard beta.

I am using Scrivener to write a book on Leopard.

Are there any major gotchas I should be worried about?

I haven't come across any major bumps in two months of work.
