Scrivener doesn't remember outline settings. Should it?

Hi Whenever I re-jig the settings for an outline view of a folder, by changing which columns are displayed, whether the rows are coloured according to their labels etc., when I go off and work on some content and then come back to the outline view, those changes get lost, and I have to manually rese...

Re: Index cards snap-to-grid

Speaking for myself, I wouldn't want it to affect the binder, I'd be worried that my what-if playing around would cock up what I already have which would inhibit my use of it. I'd be more than happy to manually update the binder once I have something I've settled on in the snap-to-grid freeform mode...

Index cards snap-to-grid

Hi After the multiple-storyline thread I'm slightly nervous about suggesting this, and I notice another user suggested it but had no reply, so here goes... Back in the 1.0 days I was an advocate of un-anchoring the index cards and so was pleased to see the freeform mode appear in 2.0 -- except I nev...

<$ScrKeepWithNext>

Sorry, posted this before in tech support, but I guess it is really a bug report. Opening Mac 2.0 files in the latest Windows beta, the scriptwriting formating hasn't survived in any way shape or form, and all of the character names are preceded with <$ScrKeepWithNext>, eg. <$ScrKeepWithNext>JOHN Ha...

Re: Opening Mac files in Windows version

Btw, browsing through the document a little more, even though it says script format is ON for the segments I'm viewing/editing, the formatting is not remotely correct, not even the font.

Opening Mac files in Windows version

Apologies if this has been asked before, the forum search won't let me search for this term: $ScrKeepWithNext. That appears on all the script formatted pages in a scrivx file I have opened up on a PC that were authored on a Mac. (I'm travelling at Christmas and thought I'd take my netbook with me ra...

Re: Shortcut keys stop working, require restart

I'll try and pin down how it occurs, although I often don't notice it for a while when I'm reformatting on auto-pilot.

I think it might have something to do with when I'm auto-tabbing in and out of other programs because I get an email notice for example, but I'll keep you posted...

Shortcut keys stop working, require restart

Hi I'm using the shortcut keys in screenwriting mode a lot at the moment (I haven't got very far fixing the problem of upgrading to 2.0 and having all the formatting change to General Text other than going through manually and doing it line by line). So lot's of Option-Cmd 2 to set 'Action', Option-...

Loss of screenplay formatting when updating 1.5 files to 2.0

When I re-open files created with 1.5 which have screenplay formatting, in 2.0 all the formatting is lost, everything becomes General Text.

Before I re-open any more files and have to manually reformat every line of 90+ page scripts, is there any work-around?

Thanks.

Doh. I think I must have pressed that by accident in the old version and never realised that's how it works.

Thanks!

Changes in 2-pane behaviours in V2.0

Hi Keith, as I work my way around v2.0 I'm amazed at what you've achieved. Many many months ago when I said it would be really useful if it is was possible to use free form index cards I remember you being less than enthusiastic, so I was thrilled to see the implementation you've come up with. Anywa...

Now that I've been using Scrivener a few months I am really loving it. The outlining tools haven't lived up to what I'd hoped for but you've explained your decisions in previous requests. You've also been less than enthusiastic about evernote, but I was wondering, so many sites and applications now ...
