OK, that seems to have done the trick, probably should have tried that earlier.

BTW, congrats on Scriv 3, it’s been amazing to watch you go on this journey from the very early betas of Scrivener 1 to where it is today.

Re: Scrivener 3 has to verify every time I open it

Where are you opening Scrivener from? Have you dragged it to your Applications folder (the application itself, not the DMG file)? All the best, Keith Hi Keith, the app is in the Applications folder. I’ve tried logging out then back in and rebooting but still getting the same message, and only for S...

Re: Scrivener 3 has to verify every time I open it

Also wanted to add, that although it shows the new (circular) logo in the Finder, it still shows the old, rectangular logo in the dock.

Should I delete the old version to see if that fixes it?

Scrivener 3 has to verify every time I open it

When I go to open nothing happens for a while, then I get the Security & Privacy icon with a message saying ‘Verifying’ (which you often get with new apps you’re opening for the first time) followed by a message saying ‘“Scrivener” is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you...

Re: Scrivener Beta 3 now public

Man, what a blast from the past. I remember how excited we were back in the early days with Keith putting out the very first betas of Scrivener. I'm looking forward to version 3 (not beta 3) with a similar amount of anticipation - it looks and sounds great from the blog posts.

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

... Although I'm working as hard as I can on our iOS version, it will certainly not be ready in the next couple of months... I couldn't believe it when I came back here to see how the iPad version was going. From a blog post back in 2014: Which means that while our iOS version has been in various s...

This was the bit I didn't have happening. Thanks once again. Now my Scrivener experience in Lion (on my new MacBook Air) is complete.

Re: Autocorrect in Scrivener 2.1 with Lion

I'm in the opposite position of the OP. I'm now so used to Lion's autocorrect behaviour (I know, probably not good) that I now find it a pain having to go back to manually correct words with typos on them. I've tried unticking the 'check spelling as you type' option but that made no difference. In T...

Re: Scrivener + MacBook Air = ♥

I've just picked up my MacBook Air (11" Core i5, 128 GB) and am absolutely thrilled with it. Scrivener works great on it and I love the weight and size of it. This is my main computer (my wife has a MacBook Pro) so all my writing will be going on here. I got it last night and already belted out...

Re: Scrivener 2.0.5 Now Available

This was so serendipitous as to almost seem bizarre - I had just finished a session in my main Scrivener project and, after checking the project target, I had the thought that for a long time I've wished that session targets were persistent across a whole day - my aim is for at least 1000 words per ...

Re: TypeIt4Me, Typinator - what works together with Scriv 2.0?

I used to have licences for both TypeIt4Me and Typinator, but ever since Snow Leopard I've just been using the built in symbol and text replacement - seems a lot more solid and instant to me.

Re: Congrats to all the NaNo winners!

This was my first NaNoWriMo and I have to say I'm proud of myself that reached the 50k mark and have a healthily respect to anyone else that finished. Ditto. I really doubted my ability to write at least 1667 words every day for a whole month (which is pretty much how I did it), but was pleasantly ...

Re: NaNoWriMo 2010--DONE! Thanks to Scrivener!

I first heard about NaNoWriMo through the Scrivener forums years ago. Each year I've thought to myself 'Imagine trying to write 50,000 words in a month!' and shaken my head in amazement at both the people who try to do it and the ones that actually complete it. This year I decided my writing needed ...
