Re: Are Scrivener's Dropbox permissions too permissive?

Only Scrivener for iOS needs specific permission to connect to Dropbox. Scrivener for Mac or Windows simply write to the hard drive of the local machine, and if the folder it's writing to happens to be inside the folder that Dropbox's software is monitoring, then it will get synced, even without sp...

Are Scrivener's Dropbox permissions too permissive?

I noticed that Scrivener has permissions to access any file in my Dropbox. I would prefer to see this limited to the Scrivener folder, for obvious reasons. Would that be possible? Incidentally, it seems the access isn't used at all, which is odd, given that I am synching through Dropbox all the time...

Re: changing cursor color?

I'm trying to change my cursor color and blinking options. I know it's somewhere in the preferences but I'm just not seeing it. can someone point me in the right direction? Blinking is set in Preferences > Editing > Options. Insertion point colour in Preferences > Appearance > Textual Marks > Colou...

You are correct, the merge state is preserved. Too bad about the full screen state, but, as I think US teenagers used to say, no biggie.

Honour the window state of re-opened projects

Having chosen to 'Reopen projects that were open on quit' (in Preferences > General > Startup) I would be pleasantly surprised if, in a future update, reopened projects would appear in full screen and merged if that's the state they were in before. When using the Automatic Quit feature a lot to prev...

Expand stacks of documents with multitouch gesture

I found myself trying to dig down into a stack of documents on the corkboard using the 'unpinch' (I don't know how it's officially called) gesture on my trackpad.

Re: Error with latexmk

I'm unsure how to proceed: on my iMac, producing a pdf file from a General Non-Fiction (latex) template works fine, but on my MacBook I get an error: '/var/folders/c9/h0vzh5yj689b1ggyb7n1ny_w0000gn/T/my-script: line 3: latexmk: command not found' I edited the script to use pdflatex on both machines...

Re: Good program horrible support

I used Scrivener for a long while. It helped to organize a complex project that i was working on at the time. Since then, my Windows os crumpled and i started using linux. I finally return to Windows, and was very excited to jump back into using Scrivener. But when i searched, i could find no recor...

Re: Editor window doesn't take full available space in full-screen mode

Note that an update for Catalina compatibility is imminent but has not yet been released: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/blog/macos-10-15-catalina-an-important-note-about-registration Katherine That's excellent news. The screen drawing glitches are hard to work around sometimes. I can't access ...

I already tried to remedy this using saved layouts, and got reproducible crashes every time. I sent in three or four bug reports about that yesterday.

Feature request: save the full state of the application

Having learned to quit Scrivener often to avoid sync mishaps as discussed here , I find that just a little less than expected is saved of the application's state: given the overall level of sophistication of the software, I was confident that, when closing a setup with two editor panes, the second o...

Saving the full state of the application when quitting?

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, and it's related, so I'll put it here. While I accept that one needs to take all the precautions described above to prevent loss of content, I must admit I was a bit disappointed when I found that quitting Scrivener didn't save the full state of the appl...
