I saved my preferences from Windows Beta 16 and then tried to load them into the latest Mac version. It does not look like any of the preferences were changed for the program or the theme. Mac is running Big Sur on an M1 chip.
Because version 3 is a Beta, I don't take chances with my work. I write in Beta 3, but at the end of each scene, I copy and paste the scene to version 1.9--just in case. If anything happens in Beta 3, I still have my full work in a 1.9 project. I also write in iOS version on an iPad with Dropbox. So...
My update shows 2.9.9.2 in About Scrivener, and shows RC2 on the start screen. I have both 1.9 and the beta installed, and have never had a problem updating from within the program, or it showing the wrong version. You might have to uninstall your old betas and install fresh from the RC2 download.
This is something I noticed in the last version, though it might have been there before without my noticing. When clicking on a folder or document group, the little arrows to indicate expanding and contracting the group disappear. They reappear again when moving to a document. I am using the Solariz...
I performed the update to Beta38 from within Beta 37. At the end of the install, I received the following error: "block invalid at 06440E58: 98b When I tried to start it, an error message popped up: Bad Image, and that it wasn't meant for Windows. I reinstalled Beta 37 from the download file, w...
Font is Georgia. It's not bold, just slightly darker/thicker than other paragraphs. Reverts to lighter/thinner when in next paragraph. Attached is a screenshot showing it. As you can see it's slight, but it's there.
I installed Beta 30, and began to work on a new scene in a novel started in an earlier beta version, when I noticed something peculiar. The font darkness for the paragraph I was typing in was darker than those in previous paragraphs. At first, I thought it was just my eyes, so I began typing in anot...
@Krastev, please forgive me if some paranoia crept into my normally sane behaviour. I normally do a check of the forum before posting, but Scrivener is one of my bread-and-butter applications. I use it every day to write my next novel. It's never failed before. Sorry if this offended you. I'll do my...
I am running the latest update of Scrivener 1.9.15 from a week or so ago. It was working fine until this morning when I tried to use it. The following error was generated and Scrivener was unresponsive, Clicking anywhere inside the Window made it go grey. I could not kill it with the "X" b...
The size of the Snapshot text is being set to the Zoom level set in Options > Editing > Options. Steps to reproduce. 1. Open Beta 27. 2. Set Options > Editing > Options > Main Text Editors Zoom to 300. (Zoom for Document Notes and Bookmark Preview remain at the default 100) 3. Click OK until Options...
I have just noticed that in Beta 26, besides the borders around the Snapshot pane being tied to the Main Editor border setting, the contents of the Snapshot pane also takes on the default Zoom factor set in Options. I have changed to Options to use different Zoom levels, and these are reflected in S...
Using Windows 10 with latest updates. Display Resolution: 1920x1080; Scale: 100%; Orientation: Landscape. If it was Windows, it would have happened in pre-Beta 26 versions, but it didn't. This is new since installing Beta 26. It's interesting it only gets confused on 150% which happens to be the Def...
