Re: Feedback wanted: Integration with Aeon Timeline

Yeah, I discovered the Aeon-Scrivener sync a short while ago and think Aeon could be a really useful tool once I get familiar with all its features. I started off just using the sync to get my dates right. This took a few passes as you cant use Aeon to create metadata fields in Scriv all in one go, ...

Re: Name generator

The tool is simply a waste of space.

follow the link to see what 'sensible' means, or use a dictionary. https://www.name-generator.org.uk/character/

Re: Name generator

I still prefer the Scrivener Mac offerings - they just look more useful returns for an English derived name. And what's wrong with having an 'ONLY SENSIBLE' option? I'm the last one to moan about stupid names, but I'd still like to see some 'options' handed around a bit more.

Name generator

He's a list of some names that Scrivener (Windows) generated with the source 'English'. I believe the name generator for the Mac has an 'attempt aliteration; option. Could we have an 'attempt sensible' option instead, or at least some way to keep out the joke names from our results? Yardley Pimm Cas...

Bug or Feature on auto-saves?

Under options/general/saving I've set autosave to 300 seconds. however if I make a change then close the project and re-open, the change I made has been saved. Is scrivener doing a 'save-on-close' operation, or is it ignoring my manually-set auto-save period? Personally I'd prefer not to have a 'sav...

v16 x86 network lag

I've been using these beta versions since day 1 and never had any problems with accessing networked files until I moved from 64bit to 32bit. The problem is lag while typing text into a document. At fairly regular intervals (about every minute) the cursor will freeze for maybe 5 seconds, then all the...

Re: new version (13) seems to have corrupted my project...?

Hi zarker99, From the corkboard, when I double-click the card icon of a document, Scrivener is not opening the document like it's supposed to - it's opening the containing folder. And if the folder text happens to be blank, that might be fooling you into thinking the document is blank. Try this wit...

Re: close project without saving changes?

OK - thanks for that :)

I wonder why they put a 'save' option in the menu.

Re: new version (13) seems to have corrupted my project...?

The issue of documents showing as empty when opening them from the corkboard view also happens in the Interactive-Tutorial document, if anybody wants to replicate this....

so for now I'm going back to version 12 until it gets fixed (hopefully before it expires on 28th)

Re: new version (13) seems to have corrupted my project...?

OK - thanks for that one Jerome.

But that still leaves me with documents in my manuscript that show up as empty when I open them from the corkboard screen.

Re: new version (13) seems to have corrupted my project...?

I've been working on this project with Aeon Timeline (v2.3.16), which has added some custom metadata to my documents - but this was last week and way before this project got corrupted. I've not used Aeon for at least a week.

close project without saving changes?

say, I've made changes to my project and messed it all up. What's the best way to abandon those changes? I've tried using 'close project' without using the 'save project' first but it still seems to save changes, so does clicking on the Close windows X in top right. How can I abandon all changes mad...
