This was listed as a fixed in RC10, but is still a problem for me. I did as instructed: switched to a new theme, restarted so the theme appeared, then switched back to dark mode. I did this a few times, but was never able to see the cursor. Can you see the cursors? Both the text cursor and the mouse...
Thanks for checking. Those sound like symptoms of the same issue. I guess maybe nobody really uses Scrivener to WRITE screenplays, otherwise I'd expect to hear a lot more about this problem because it makes the actual WRITING impossible. I've personally moved to just planning in Scrivener, and then ...
Thanks all. Yeah, the metadata is great! In fact, the metadata is so useful, it has become crucial to developing scenes for me. But the problem is, both metadata and notes are crucial. Opening one of them in a separate window is a decent workaround for now -- thank you. If metadata allowed a more fu...
In Dark Mode, if you select a folder (so its line highlights) then you can no longer see the expand/collapse arrow, even though it is still there and functional.
These two images show the unselected state (where the arrow is visible) and the selected state (where it is not):
Thanks popcornflix -- I didn't know about WriterSolo. It looks great. Nice to know about the copy/paste compatibility! You would think that Scrivener could see you go into Script Mode and be like "I GOT THIS" and just make sure all the settings are standard and give you WYSIWYG. It could l...
I'm in Script Mode in RC7 with all the defaults (only thing I changed was to go into Dark Mode). When I highlight any of my screenplay lines, the highlight is vertically displaced by some number of pixels from where it should be. In some cases on multi-line highlights, there is a gap above the last ...
ANOTHER UPDATE: What's happening is that somehow, over time with Scrivener open, the Script Mode files lose the expected TAB/RETURN functionality. In my last post I said that new files had the functionality working fine, but the older ones did not. That is true, but even the new ones had since lost ...
I've read in passing that Scrivener has never been intended as a WYSIWYG editor. However -- As a screenwriter, knowing exactly how long my scenes are is crucial. Seeing exactly what 1 page looks like is crucial. Having to repeatedly compile to see -- is my Act 1 too long? On which page does my midpo...
1. Create a page with text in it 2. Duplicate the page 3. Look at the line spacing on both pages 4. Notice that the line spacing on the new duplicate is not the same as the source page For example, duplicating a page that has line spacing of "1.1x" according to the toolbar results for me i...
