Re: Beta 30 - Edit Format window too large for screen, cannot save

Thank you, RW, but that still didn't work. I couldn't find where on my Windows 10 machine to change the DPI. I was able to work around it by plugging my computer into my television and utilizing that larger resolution screen. I think this is still a bug, I shouldn't have to do that to access a wind...

[Beta 30] Unable to change text to speech language

Windows 10 Build 1909 I have installed several versions of English speech: US was installed by default Added: UK Canada Australia Even after restarting Scrivner, only the US language is selectable. There is a drop-down in settings but still only has one item listed. Expect to be able to select a new...

Re: Is it possible to convert back?

Almost every install I have done has taken hours or days. So it hasn't been this easy to install process that the rest of you enjoy. And I have had some head injuries that makes it impossible to hold the convoluted install process that we now use in my brain. This means my spouse must come in and w...

Re: BETA 27. Bug? Layout window too big to use

When you grab the top left/right window corners you should be able to size down the window. Then grab the window title bar and move it up. Does this help? Obviously if the window is too big for the monitor height, it will always remain hidden at the bottom. Noting that the on a 1366x768 display sca...

Re: Manage --> Theme Preferences (Color Themes for main interface)

Me too. I wants my Scrivener dark, like old time writing with bright texts, bright green, or yellow, etc. Be nice to figure this out for my old WIndows 1 version of Scrivener, still waiting on the Windows 3 version, they say they're working on. Themes would makes it easier to just pick whichever th...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows contra Scrivener 3 Mac

The Namegeneratortool was changed to work like the mac-one. Ok. But it's already in Alpha. Why? Test it yourselfes. It's not my job and not my intension anymore to do some Alphatests. And yes i'm not amused ;) It's easy. Don't use the beta, don't whine about features under development in the beta. ...

Re: Kerning in Times New Roman

Sure you try it with Options>Editor font hintng turned off.
The QT system Scrivner is uses seems to comflict with Windows font at times.
Not sure, but this is the next thing I would try.
Especially when using Windows scaling.

Re: EPUB 3 and EPUB 2

As already noted, it would probably take a month or two of work to create an ePub 2 generator. That is a lot of work for something that would end up hidden in the interface. But I'm just repeating myself at this point. There is no point in asking for this to be added, it will not be. Please seek ot...

Re: [BETA 28] BUG: Concentration mode won't display on Surface Pro

When going into concentration mode, the window disappears entirely. ALT-TAB will bring it back onscreen momentarily, then it disappears. Trying to move around with arrow keys will make random lines flicker up, but not the whole screen. Working on a Surface Pro 4, with high DPI scaling override on (...

Re: Touch screen scrolling in Scrivener 3?

I would be more than happy to pay Apple for thier OS, but have ZERO interest in buying their obsolete Mac hardware. I also have no problem with LL moving this to the suggestions section as am well aware of where they are on the process to get Windows 3.x out. Hmm.15” i9, 32Gb, vega20, fastest SSD i...

The price of tea in China

I run MAC OS on a Windows VM and touch works pretty well in many cases there just acting like the touchpad mapped over the screen.. With them also doing iOS and I hear Andriod version, touch will need to be native too all but Mac soon. MacOS on Win VM... on Apple hardware? Otherwise breach of licen...

Re: Will version 3 be released this year?

Thanks. I just remember reading this by one of the developers: "I do believe we are a matter of a few weeks away now - I'm certainly not talking months." That was almost two months ago. :( Thus the danger of making estimates. Officially we have had several weeks, but still only one full M...

wordjoy, thank you for posting this. Great suggestions. Only thing I have to add is, a screenshot is worth a thousand words. People, please include screenshots if there's any chance it'll help communicate your issue. When it goes to release I will be taking some time to move my WIPs to clean files ...

Re: [BUG] Scrivener now opens with window maximized no matter what

Actually is conforms nicely. I just confirmed that in Beta 26 using an exisitng file. File opened in full screen. I change to window of about 30% of screen size. Saved project. closed Scrivner. Opened scrivner and same file opened in the new Window position. Arguing with the DEV, vs listneing will ...
