Re: Formatting error when editing with ProWritingAid

Thanks WORDJOY for looking into the problem. As other people might be thinking of buying PWA for the sole purpose of working with Scrivener, I will start a thread elsewhere cautioning people about such issues. Since it appears that this is not a problem on L&L's side and definitely not a Scrive...

Re: Formatting error when editing with ProWritingAid

I did some tests. It's a ProWirttingAid bug and a pretty serious one. When pressing Enter it displays it like a NEW PARAGRAPH with larger line spacing, but saves it as a NEW LINE. When you press Shift-Enter and it shows line a NEW LINE with a narrower line spacing, then saves it as a NEW LINE also. ...

Re: Formatting error when editing with ProWritingAid

I use Pro-Writing Aid Use their feedback tools. This may be related to what kind of line break is being inserted etc. But Remember: All of Pro-Writing Aid's claims are likely against released vs beta versions of Scrivner. It is not L&L job to validate other company's claims as they do not have a...

Re: Beta updates do not remove older versions

My apps & features showed version .13 .14 .17 .18 .29 .32 .18 and .32 had uninstall buttons available, the rest grayed out. I uninstalled .v18 which removed v32 as well, so I had to redownload v32 again. Now I have v13 v14 v17 v29 v32 (2 of them, one with grayed out uninstall button and one fun...

Re: Beta updates do not remove older versions

Not my experience. I just looked in Apps and Features I do have a stray B24 listing that is not connected to anything and won't uninstall, so I will have to remove it by hand. But since then I have installed every beta over the previous version and it has updated properly. I would look at your setti...

Re: Dark Mode

Scrivner Team Thanks for all the work trying to keep the promise to bring as many features as possible from Mac to Windows. I especially appreciate dark mode which I use all the time and the choice to use it or not use vs assuming all people are fine with one way.

Good job..

Re: Beta 30 - Edit Format window too large for screen, cannot save

Thank you, RW, but that still didn't work. I couldn't find where on my Windows 10 machine to change the DPI. I was able to work around it by plugging my computer into my television and utilizing that larger resolution screen. I think this is still a bug, I shouldn't have to do that to access a wind...

[Beta 30] Unable to change text to speech language

Windows 10 Build 1909 I have installed several versions of English speech: US was installed by default Added: UK Canada Australia Even after restarting Scrivner, only the US language is selectable. There is a drop-down in settings but still only has one item listed. Expect to be able to select a new...

Re: Is it possible to convert back?

Almost every install I have done has taken hours or days. So it hasn't been this easy to install process that the rest of you enjoy. And I have had some head injuries that makes it impossible to hold the convoluted install process that we now use in my brain. This means my spouse must come in and w...

Re: BETA 27. Bug? Layout window too big to use

When you grab the top left/right window corners you should be able to size down the window. Then grab the window title bar and move it up. Does this help? Obviously if the window is too big for the monitor height, it will always remain hidden at the bottom. Noting that the on a 1366x768 display sca...

Re: Manage --> Theme Preferences (Color Themes for main interface)

Me too. I wants my Scrivener dark, like old time writing with bright texts, bright green, or yellow, etc. Be nice to figure this out for my old WIndows 1 version of Scrivener, still waiting on the Windows 3 version, they say they're working on. Themes would makes it easier to just pick whichever th...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows contra Scrivener 3 Mac

The Namegeneratortool was changed to work like the mac-one. Ok. But it's already in Alpha. Why? Test it yourselfes. It's not my job and not my intension anymore to do some Alphatests. And yes i'm not amused ;) It's easy. Don't use the beta, don't whine about features under development in the beta. ...

Re: Kerning in Times New Roman

Sure you try it with Options>Editor font hintng turned off.
The QT system Scrivner is uses seems to comflict with Windows font at times.
Not sure, but this is the next thing I would try.
Especially when using Windows scaling.

Re: EPUB 3 and EPUB 2

As already noted, it would probably take a month or two of work to create an ePub 2 generator. That is a lot of work for something that would end up hidden in the interface. But I'm just repeating myself at this point. There is no point in asking for this to be added, it will not be. Please seek ot...
