Re: Unable to paste images from Edge (Chromium) into Scrivener

But since Chromium browsers are now most of the market with Firefox shrinking. This is a design that needs updating even if after release.

Re: Issue with Character names in Scriptwriting

This is how the screenwriting autocomplete system is set up. It adds as you type vs analyzing the document.
Go to the Project menu, Project Settings and remove the errors from your autocomplete list.

Yup can confirm both..
They probably did a fast release to fix a bug and missed the internal checks stuff.

Re: RC2 (and about what is a release candidate)

Can I come live on your planet where released software has ZERO bugs. Sounds wonderful!!!

RC means that it doesn't ship with known serious bugs and planned features are in place.
It has never denoted perfection.. yes soon you will have to pay for this.. I already have.,

Re: Given coronavirus, are those of us using the Beta going to be... discommoded on the 31st?

Not sure where your concerns are?
They have NEVER missed a new version on or before the beta expiration.
Release management seems fine to me. But I only have 30 years in the software industry so what do I know...

Re: Online Sharing/Editing like Google Docs?

I was part of the Microsoft Word test team in 1999. That is when Microsoft first started working on this idea in earnest. It took a totally new file format etc. In some ways it has taken them almost two decades to make it work as envisioned back then. I suspect the first way to do this would to be i...

Re: Please allow us to purchase a license for the Windows Scrivener beta

I use Scrivener once or twice a week, and sometimes I miss the auto-update window by a day or two and it makes me go to the website to download the newest version. I own a Scrivener 1 license for Windows and Mac, and I am definitely going to buy a Scrivener 2 license for Windows when it becomes ava...

Re: B40: Final Draft Import Broken

Probably did it out of order. So that brough it in as a screenplay BUT. Terribly formatted it didn't recognize and standard screenplay formats it all comes in as general text. You should make a good importer. I can't be the only one fed up with FD11 and its buggy code. Looking of a good tool that su...

B40: Final Draft Import Broken

Hi, Final Draft 11 is so poorly written that I wanted to bring my screenplay into Scrivner where I am also doing my other writing I use File>Import>Files and open the FDX file. It comes in with terrible margins. It does not come in as Screenplay format and Convert to Screenplay doesn't work.on the i...

Re: Forced constant beta update

I agree that we can be a bit more civil than the all-caps insults. That post was getting a bit vehement, particularly near the end. ok zero caps... read the first and fourth posts in this thread. they didn't use caps, but they were aggressive in personal attacks on the dev team and anyone offering ...

Re: Forced constant beta update

"Censorship is a very odd stand for a writer" So is advocating for restricted access because you don't like what someone says: Personally I recommend L&L close future betas after 3 is released. Require a signed agreement and retain the right to remove people from the beta that violate...

Re: Forced constant beta update

Scrivner Beta Writers Block: Syndrome where people who have nothing good to write, pretend the Beta is stopping them from writing and then are offended when other writers point out to them that it's not really a big deal to install the software. They demand censorship and that only one opinion be o...
