Re: Revision mode activated by Alt+015? [2.9.9.10]

These default shortcuts will be removed in the next update and left up to the user to specify manually. Meanwhile you can go to File > Options > Keyboard > type "Revision" and clear the shortcuts for each revision level. Hope this helps. It does! Thank you so much. I had no idea how often...

Re: Revision mode activated by Alt+015? [2.9.9.10]

Oh my heavens I forgot I already posted this.

Y'all. Professors teaching online. We are out here literally losing our minds. Our minds. They are lost. Absolutely lost.

Thanks.

[LH4696] Revision mode activated by Alt+015? [2.9.9.10]

I don't remember this ever happening before. I insert em-dashes and a few characters of the international phonetic alphabet with their Alt codes. But now when I hit Alt+015, I get a popup saying I'm entering revision mode. And I don't get my character. I admit to em-dashes being a writing crutch of ...

Hey, Thanks!

Just want to post a thanks for hosting a public beta for such a long period of time while you strive to make the product as good as possible. I try to contribute where I can in gratitude. I decided to take a risk on Beta 3.0 in order to draft the manuscript for my tenure book, which I started writin...

[LH4696] Alt code for Em Dash launches revision mode

Given how often I use this Alt Code I imagine something must have changed. The em-dash alt code is Alt+0151. When I type it, I get a notification that I've entered revision mode (this is at Alt + 015.) Help! This is a writing tic of mine that I'm not willing to fix. I like my em-dashes! I want to be...

RC6: PDF are no longer an option to import into binder

Have I lost my mind? I have a project which has two PDFs (they were converted to rtf but by Scrivener) as files in my binder. I use this strategy often for keeping track of journal articles belonging to a writing project. ' I have two more articles to add to this project. But when I go to "add ...

Re: Word Count Showing 0 and Composition Mode Crash [Beta 43]

Co signed on the Word Count Showing 0 in both Beta 42 and Beta 43. I don't have any word counts for any of my documents. (Tough because I'm almost finished with this book!)

Re: Forced constant beta update

I am definitely being forced to do something by these constant beta updates. I'm being forced to engage with my book every single day, and make sure that I'm working on it at home, at work, and while out and about so that all three of my computers pick up any updates to the beta. And since I just bl...

[B 35] Session wordcount counting entire document

This might be related to this post: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=60256 My session wordcount counted the entire wordcount in the document rather than what was written in the session. This was a fresh instance of Scrivener, so session WC should have started at zero...

Footnotes Exporting as Blue Hyperlinks--Beta 20

I'm posting in technical support instead of in the beta forum because I'm not sure if this is PEBCAK or a bug,. I'm using the Windows 3.0 beta Whether I choose Word or RTF to compile, my footnotes all export as blue underlined hyperlinks in the document. Although I've now figured out that I can just...

Re: [LH3331] Beta 12 - Session word count doesn't reset.

Oh, I love it when searching for post works well and I don't have to be the rube who creates a new thread. Count me in for this problem! Interestingly, it only happens on one of my two computers. I will add that clicking "reset" does not work, either. My session wordcount for this project ...

Re: Bug: Crash on startup (nearly) 100% of the time 2.9.0.8

I'm now able to crash it 100% of the time by duplicating a document. I've turned off my virus protection and also disabled Dropbox (since it seemed to be happening when Dropbox tried to save the binder). I am not at the moment running a new reboot of Windows; I will try that next (in a few hours). W...

Not yet. I only run Windows Defender, though.

One update: this morning I launched Scrivener first before launching anything else on a fresh boot of Windows and it launched fine. Will continue to monitor to see if I can isolate the cause.

Bug: Crash on startup (nearly) 100% of the time 2.9.0.8

So I've been noticing this but I'm so amicable that I keep forgetting that this is actually something that shouldn't happen and not just a minor annoyance. When I open Scrivener 2.9.0.8, my current project (a large book I'm working on--I like to live dangerously), the screen grays out and Windows re...
