Dark Mode disregards my Composition Mode background

When I switch to Appearance/Dark Mode in Scrivener, it seems to disregard my Background selection for Composition Mode. Instead of showing the background, it shows whatever's behind the program (desktop, web browser, etc.) with a slight opacity setting. Dark/System Default Setting: Screen Shot 2020-...

Re: Best Digital Format for Beta Readers to Comment?

I suggest using Google Docs. I'm not sure about importing comments back into Scrivener, but if you drag the link to the document into Scrivener's binder, it should be able to open it within Scrivener (unless there's a login issue with Google, which has happened before, but subsequent Scrivener upda...

Re: how do I create a checklist for myself?

After I posted my question, I decided to tackle the quandary thru another approach, which was this: I added a label called "SMART" (I'm trying to keep a list of SMART goals) and then created a collection that pulled together everything with that label. It doesn't allow me to put them in a...

Re: To compile or not to compile

I created a course specifically for this topic a few years back, just before the Scrivener 3 update. It's somewhat dated, especially since the compiling features have been significantly updated, but most of the tips are still applicable. Anyway, one of the main reasons I decided to create this cours...

Re: What font do you use?

I've always liked Merriweather for the editor font. Comments I typically leave at Lucida Sans or Verdana. Found Merriweather on a website years ago and fell in love with it. It's easy on the eyes, big enough to read, and has a sort of feel-good vibe without being too fancy. Palatino is another good ...

Re: Comment links remain after deleting comments

The example with using bold text totally makes sense. I will also try your suggestion about stripping the formatting and will remember to move the cursor in future instances. Thanks for the help.

Note: I just opened my Scrivener project and the links aren't there anymore. Go figure, lol!

Comment links remain after deleting comments

While removing comments in the inspector, I noticed after typing additional text where the comment was in the Editor that it created a link as if the comment was still there, but without the color that's assigned to the comment. The link doesn't actually link to anything, and I can't get the link to...

Random highlight color when creating comments

I just noticed that when I create a comment, in whatever color I choose to make it, the actual text in the Editor is given a random highlight color. In this case, it keeps marking my commented text with a blue highlight. I say it's "random" because I have no idea how it chose blue in the f...

Re: Images look faded and have false colors

A rep from L&L responded to me today and had this to say:
The Scrivener 3.0.3 release, which is imminent, should have a fix for this issue.

So, I guess the best workaround, for now, is to resize the image in a separate program outside of Scrivener then reimport it.
