Now that 3.0 has finally released, my question is how long will tech support for 1.9 be maintained? This is in ref for known bugs and so forth within the program as well as software vulnerabilities.

I have used the beta versions of several pieces of software over the years and all of them have made the name of the beta file consonant with the title given to the upcoming version. I had no problem install from when the notification popped up saying there was an update. One thing I would suggest depending on your antivirus is by disabling it and see if it continues. There are some that seem to be blocking its install or usage.

Just a thought.

If you leave the program open, you can always use the 'check for updates' feature within the program itself.

As a followup went to uninstall program. When I looked at the list I had 2 listings for Scrivener that could be uninstalled along with 1 that is ghosted and cannot be accessed. Of the 2 programs listed 1 was version 2.9.9.6 with the other as 2.9.9.7. There was no listing for my licensed copy of 1.9....

After starting Scrivener Beta .18 received notification of update .19. Used the update program within Scrivener and went through install process. After installing window close. Went to restart and received Scrivener.exe App error 'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK ...

64bit version, Win10 with prerelease.210209-1440 and no problems.

While going through the options I noticed this.

Screen resolution is set to 150% .
