Re: [LH4693] Odds and quirks of copy & paste (RC10)

Honestly Devin, there is no Specific way of writing it. The problem is with how 'we' will interpret the words with our inner voice; Demeaning, sarcastic, and so forth no matter how the writer verbalized it to them. You were, are, doing the coding team a favor by reminding others who keep advocating ...

Re: beta will expire 10 october?

(Note: if you go past the expiration date, the older beta version will no longer open and you will not be able to use this method -- meaning that you might lose any settings customizations you have made.) This is not strictly correct. There is a very simple way to upgrade this way if you go past th...

Re: Exporting to Word

Check to verify that the your printer is what its supposed to be printing to and not say a fax or file. I just exported several different parts of one of my stories to .docx and opened it within word. I was also able to print it out with no problems. At one time the default printer from several of m...

Re: BUG: The "Find" dialog box inserts the clipboard content automatically

I currently use Office 365 and have tested it. If no word is highlighted in Word than you open Find, the field is blank. But if you highlight a word and then click on find or even highlight a different word it changes in the field. If you then click on a blank area and start typing nothing shows the...

Re: Not sure if this is a bug, exactly

What your seeing is:

"Sessions Targets Timeout."
"Sessions Targets will now reset."

If you go into Options and the Warnings and reset it. It should clear it out.

Re: Change search highlight colour (and note re. manual)

I know there's a way to change the colour used to highlight search terms; I've used it in the past, but now I can't find it. In addition to the settings AussieDoc pointed out, which apply to search in Comp Mode, play around with the settings related to "Search" and "Find" under ...

Re: What Happened in Release Candidate 7 GUI

Using a "fake" language also makes it possible to test the localization mechanisms before the "real" translations are done. Using a clearly fake language prevents confusion: you might not know if you're in the "test" or "actual" French interface, but Scifi is...

Re: RE: HiDPI version

That seems odd because I just installed the HiDPI version into a different folder than the standard one so I could have the "normal" Scrivener and the HiDPI Scrivener available on the same machine, and the mfc140 DLLs were there, along with the vcruntime files. If you install the HiDPI to...

RC7 error msg Destination ${installdir}

After using the update feature within RC6 and clicking through the options received the error msg. Background: Had updated from RC5 to RC6 with no problems. Read through updates and saw where there was the other update for HiDPi usage. Manually downloaded and installed it but saw no difference due t...

That doesn't look right. First it say what I'm supposing is Mar as the R is reversed and not May nor is it giving a day such as Sunday. :?:

Re: Beta Candidate 5 Labeled 4

I show version 2.9.9.5. When you close and then reopen Scrivener when does it expire? If it still says 29 April then you didn't get the update. Either do a check for updates in the program or download and install from the site.

Wow! Another massive amount of fixes being noted. It looks like you've been very, very busy. And a month to test as well. It looks like great progress. Great job.

Re: [RC4] Menu Font Distorted

I stand corrected on the default one but I had gone through each and ever one once and the Solarized Light look fuzzy, washed out when compared to the normal lettering ones. But that may be due to my eyesight changing with age as well.
