Re: Beta Expires Soon

Please refrain from replying unless you have useful information. Thank you! Huh? What?? Do a search on the Beta Forum about that question. I gave you an answer, just like we have given those who have asked many many times before you over previous beta's. It's old. Now you should have your answer yo...

Please post your replies grievences before the end date. We know, we know, we know. Just like all the other times as the days come closer and closer. It's like the return of gas as with ulcers, or your Aunt Merle's sudden return and so forth. How many times we scurry to be the first and bring this ...

Re: Will version 3 be released this year?

There will be no further announcements of anticipated release dates: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/blog/scrivener-3-for-windows-further-delays The pinned thread at the top of this forum is the best place to look for the most recent changes to the software. Katherine I agree. Trying to put a da...

Re: Cursor changes position when scrolling in Scrivenings mode

aeternali wrote:This is unusable like this. I can't predict where the cursor will end up and I change things that I did not intend to change. The scrolling and focus seems to be flying all over the place and if this is not resolved I will have to discontinue using Scrivener.

Then use the non beta.

Re: Inexplicable activation of the INSERT function

Check the link provided that the insert function hasn't been toggled on. From what I've been reading its on by default and will be fixed on the next iteration. Lots of people are reporting this. For those who are looking for the option, it can be found under: Options —> Editing —> Options (tab) —> U...

Re: Expirations on Beta versions

Yesterday I tried to use my Scrivener, 3.0 beta and guess what, it would not open. My version stopped working on Sep 30, and on Oct 1 it was dead. How could you miss this? Each time you open the Beta it gives you the expiration date? You have to acknowledge it each and every time to use the softwar...

Re: <b24> Jumping cursor revisited

If possible try using a different mouse. This is to rule out the problem of the mouse failing with the buttons failing. Also, as is in some cases, you have the latest drivers.

Re: Inspector Footnotes cannot be exported as footnotes, only endnotes

When you first open the beta it should tell you both what version you have as with for how long its active: Beta .23 ends on the 30th of September while .24 will end on 31 Oct. Also if you click on the check for updates it will also notify you if there is an update as well and ask if you want to dow...

Re: Next Beta/RC/Version 3?

Wait, are we supposed to be concerned that they haven't released an update before the end of the evaluation date even if they've never missed one? Or are we concerned that they will and want to be one of the ones posting that they did? Dang Mr. Kotter I'm so confused.

Re: Scrivener still listed in Apps & Features

Normally I would say Yes to that idea as I've used it on previous builds, but not this time, thus why I had to go into the registry itself and remove them which I'm loathed to do even with backups. Don't know if its because I'm also part of the Fast Track with Microsoft's Beta testing of Windows. I'...

Re: Scrivener still listed in Apps & Features

After further troubleshooting I found that the entries were listed not under the 64bit version entries in the Registry keys but under the 32bit version. I've only been using he 64bit version on my system. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall As for Scriv...
