Re: Will iOS Scriv Work in iPad OS?

I only get ratty when people hint that I should retire or imply that our business will fail if we don't do x or y. :) My uncle was a wizard engineer. He could have sold his company in his late 30s and "lived" without any financial worries (we won't say "retired" as that has, for...

Re: Any other sync options on the horizon ?

Hey folks, just to let you know that all is well here at the retirement home. Nurse Catalina lets us oldies play on her iPadOS beta if we eat our sprouts, and I have high hopes that if we incontinents are really good, she might even let us try one of those apps which make writing more fun by making...

Re: How to compile to MS Word with comments intact?

Hi.

The sample project attached compiles to .docx with comments included (I don't have Word, but the .docx opens in Pages with comments in place).

Does it work for you? Help you to identify what is or isn't working on your own project?

Or have I misunderstood?

Re: Will iOS Scriv Work in iPad OS?

Save for a few want-to-be-assertive voices on the forum, my experience offline and online is that far more people would side with the balanced views and reasonings expressed by popcornFlix than not; easily a ratio topping 100:1. And all of the points made above and about Keith being a sole developer...

Re: Any other sync options on the horizon ?

For Mac-only syncing, iCloud works. For Mac–iOS syncing, the developer has said he will need to rebuild Scrivener from scratch, but it appears that is at least a possibility. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=292047#p292047 With all the current changes going on with operating ...

Re: Cannot compile tabbing within text

As ebooks reflow to each reader’s settings, tabs are usually (AFAIK) stripped out / ignored by the reading device. In short, I am stumped. But I hope someone else can help. If the forum brings no joy, the tech-support channel might be able to offer a solution.

Re: Cannot compile tabbing within text

Hello.

Ah, tabs are tricky in ePub and Mobi files. How about using indents, as in the sample attached? The image below is from an ePub compiled using indents.

Re: Cannot compile tabbing within text

Hello, Peter.

Attached is a sample project with tabbed text that compiles with the tabs retained.

Does it help you to identify what is happening to your own project?

Re: Folders empty, text files present

Hello.

If you select a folder, give the editor focus, and then press CMD 1, does the text appear?

Re: Compiling to HTML and URLs

Hello, David.

Simple test project attached (from Scrivener 3.1.3), which compiles correctly. Same for you? If yes, can you identify what is different between this project and yours?

Re: Will iOS Scriv Work in iPad OS?

I think once again we are a bit off topic here. I'm not sure what conversations about macOS development have to do with whether or not Scrivener for iOS will be compatible with iPadOS (it will). If Scrivener for iOS is compatible with iPadOS, it's intriguing to know if that version of Scrivener wil...
