Question regarding search

I have a question regarding performing searches. There have been a number of posts here regarding issues with search throughout the development of v3. The response to many of these has been along the lines of "Run File > Save and Rebuild Search Indexes". So, my question: is it possible to ...

Re: MAYBE BUG -- COPY-CUT Before PASTE Operation

That does indeed sound a bit weird. However, I have a question concerning the workflow: why copy and cut? Would a cut followed by a paste not achieve the same thing?

Re: Bug 2.9.0.35 beta: issue in Project Replace, unable to write a non-breaking space

For some time I have had similar problems searching for and replacing non-ascii characters. Newlines also seem to be problematic.

Text tidying appears to only remove blank lines from the document in which the cursor currently is, rather than all docs loaded in the editor.

Re: 2 x regex weird

Have you tried Edit->Text Tidying? Also, what about the "remove trailing whitespace from documents" in the compile window (right side, under the gear icon)? Yes I have. Edit->Text Tidying->Remove Empty Lines Between Paragraphs works on only one document at a time, and by 'bulk' I meant mu...

I see no way in B36 to remove blank lines in bulk, either in the manuscript or as a compile operation.

Am I missing something?

Beta 32 Regex issue

Edit / Find / Project Search for regex \n\n seems to successfully identify all occurrences of double spacing. All good so far. But both Edit / Find / Find and Edit / Find / Project Replace fail to identify any occurrence of \n\n.

Re: [LH1443] RegEx replacement in compile not working

FYI, the behavior you're talking about is the same as the Mac version. Here's a discussion on an alternative way to make paragraph separation work without actually adding empty lines between each paragraph: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=57473&p=292289&hil...

[LH3668] Compile RegExp replacement not working

Re getting the compiler to double space some text, no amount of substituting a single occurrences of \n, \r, \n\r or \r\n with a double occurrence results in a double spaced markdown file being produced. No error, but the the resultant file has line breaks as per the source text. E.g adding a replac...

[LH772] 2.9.0.21 - Compile replacement not sticking

I am trying to get the compiler to double space my content. I am entering <C-Enter> as the Replace value and <C-Enter><C-Enter> as the With value. As I do this I see what looks like one and then two space characters appear in the respective fields. I then hit save. Going back in to edit the format I...

Weekly betas

Given our target release date at the end of August 2019 we will be releasing new betas at the end of each week.

Am I missing something or should beta 21 be out now?

Re: Minor weirdness when moving docs

To throw another variable at you, what view mode are you in when you see these oddities? We currently have a bug that affects binder selection while in Scrivenings mode, could that be what is causing the effects you are encountering? Yes, in scrivenings mode. But this mode seems to be automatically...
