Re: Why Scrivener Doesn't Support Versions on Lion

I wonder - would it be possible to ring-fence the Drafts 'folder' in any project and make it accessible under Versions? That's where the writing gets down, after all. So, parts of the project could have support for Versions switched on and off *except* for the Research folder, which is typically too...

Re: Scrivener 2.0... It's here.

It's beautiful, I love it - congratulations to Keith and the team. The new toolbar icons are elegant and in keeping with where OS X is and where's it's going. There are an enormous number of new features which make me feel I'm experiencing a completely new app rather than a simple incremental upgrad...

Re: Scrivener 1.52 now available

Might I just ask - politely, of course! - why in hell do I want my Scrivener project to sync with Writeroom.ws??? Scenario 1: taps notes in iPhone's Writeroom; sync to Scrivener. Re-work notes or discard. Nice. Scenario 2: sync projects from Scrivener to Writeroom. Er, why? I can't write a bloody bo...

Re: Scrivener 1.52 now available

The ability to sync with Writeroom.ws has caused me to reinstall Writeroom on my iPhone. The idea of being able to jot down ideas on the go and pull them back into a project later is brilliant. I've tested it and it works flawlessly.

Brilliant work, Keith.

Version 2 scratchpad?

I wonder if we might see a re-designed scratchpad in version 2? The current window feels like a bit of an afterthought. Something living in the menu bar, perhaps, accessible via keyboard shortcut, perhaps as a tab at the screen edge a la Yojimbo, Devonthink Sorter, etc.? I know Scrivener isn't a &qu...

Re: Scrivener and project management

Cheers Hugh. I tried Omniplan but couldn't make head nor tail of it. Most of these apps seem to be designed for web designers/ software companies. Fair enough, but there's a gap in the market (Keith) which a writing-centered software developer could fill... (p'haps with Scrivener Version 3.0!). I'll...

Scrivener and project management

I *love* Scrivener and will be there with my cash when version 2.0 comes out. In the meantime, I'm an academic writing a book whilst doing too much teaching, too much PhD supervision and too much departmental admin. I'm looking for some project management software with which to marry up Scrivener. H...
