Malware detected on sending or receiving Scrivener files via email.

Hi, My friend couldn't send me his script to read via email as it got intercepted as malware by my provider. I had to turn off my protection to receive it! See how the email then came in - attached here. Similarly, I couldn't send it back to him...

Re: Serial Number on 2nd Mac not working

My Macbook Scrivener is 2.8. Do I need to re-d/l the free trial for 2.9 and use the SN with that, perhaps?

Serial Number on 2nd Mac not working

Hi, I bought Scrivener and have been using it on my (old) Mac Pro (OS 10.9 Mavericks) (Scrivener v 2.9) and I also was using a trial version on my (old) Macbook, OS 10.11, El Capitan) but that has run out. However, when I try and use the S/N I was given when I bought it, it doesn't work. Can you hel...

Re: Dual Dialogue

I find it very odd that Scrivener isn't bringing additional formatting tools into the program (even by 2018) and that the only way to achieve a fully professional layout is to still have to buy Final Draft. I LOVE Scrivener for its integrated document system. When I write in FD I use the beat board,...

(MORE) AND (CON'T) at page bottom/top

Hi, In Final Draft, there is an option to choose what kinds of (MORE) & (CONT'D) you wish to include in the formatting of your scripts. I have been advised, that it's not something you need when it's simply dialogue broken up by action, but it is something you should use when dialogue is broken ...

Re: Collaborating across versions doesn't work

Hi - and thank you so much!! We missed the 'export' thing... doh! Obvious really!! That's great.
(And yes, he could also work in 2.9 too)

Muchos gracias! :D

Collaborating across versions doesn't work

I am co-writing with a colleague who has the latest version of Scrivener. However, I have an older Mac and couldn't get the latest, (V3) so had to buy V2.9 When I make changes to a script and send to him, all is fine, however, if he makes changes and sends to me, my version won't open it. We have tr...

Re: This may be obvious but...

Yeah. 2.9 with 3 serial now all seems to work fine. Only sad thing - my writing partner has V3, (with all the new features) and I can't go through them with him. (We work remotely and via Skype).

Oh well - this time next year, Rodney...

Thanks everyone for all your help.

Re: This may be obvious but...

Seems to have got there - though I had to ditch the "MindVision" folder first.

All good - and happy. (Though a little sad I coulldn't get the new shiny V3... Perhaps when I sell one of my scripts.... :D )

Re: This may be obvious but...

Ignore that last bit. I've downloaded 2.9, now buying 3 to pay for the license!

(Hope that's right)

Re: This may be obvious but...

I have been advised NOT to upgrade my MacBook or Mac Pro's OSX any further (though I could possibly bring the Mac Pro up to El Capitain, the same as the MacBook, but this still is only 10.11.6, so no go on 3 for me. However, when I go through the programme to the 'Buy' option, I couldn't see a 2.9 -...
