HOME and END keys

Hi, I would really like the edit mode to move the cursor to the start or end of a line instead of the start/end of a paragraph when pushing HOME or END. I realize that its not appropriate for Scrivener to have customer key actions, but all my other apps are obeying a common solution which is place a...

Inserting comments without date and time

Can one configure a comment insert not omit the date / time, any options on that?

Thanks

I'm lost the Preserve Formatting Options in v3

I must be dumb, but when you check Preserve Formatting on the format menu after selecting a bunch of text, I can't find the option to identify what gets preserved. I want to preserve the centering of text, but not font, thus allowing the ebook reader (the user) to choose font but keep my text center...

Chambers Thesaurus

At one point I used to be able to right-click a word in my project and the context menu would offer me my installed Chambers Thesaurus. I wish knew how I did that, it doesn't work after 3.x and I have no idea how I did that in the first place. Any ideas? Thanks!

Chambers Thesaurus

At one point I downloaded Chambers Thesaurus from the App Store and somehow--I don't know how-- it managed to place itself within the context menu when right-clicking text in Scrivener. I have no idea how I did that, but it was wonderful and I do not seem to be able to reproduce that behavior in Scr...

Re: Images DPI

Hi everyone, just looking in on the hornet's nest I created. Did anything productive come from my rants? I hope L&L support doesn't hate me for starting all this, I might need your help with some other matter one day! Just for the record, Scrivener is still the best product ever!

Re: Images DPI

Like I said, you can discuss endlessly the science of this. The compiled code does not honor the setting in the GUI, this whole lengthy and painful conversation seems like smoke and mirrors. If I use any other EPub creator and specify that an image is X pixels I get X pixels, if I specify 100% I get...

Re: Images DPI

Hey I'm done. I'll let you guys carry on. We are obviously not going to convince each other. You think that it is OK for the GUI to say 346 x 259 *points* and produce compiled code that says 346 x 259 *pixels*. I think that is wrong. You think that other compilers are wrong for coding 346 x 259 *poi...

Re: Images DPI

I appreciate your scientific view on this, but lets take a moment to think about your users. Most of them are not typesetters, or coders or web-page creators. Let's pretend for a moment that I was not in receipt of all the technical education you have provided. I take an image that is is 1080x1440 a...

Re: Images DPI

If we are not supposed to use points, why does the GUI express points, you cannot have it both ways.

Re: Images DPI

I give up. You clearly feel that when I set the slider to state 346x259 POINTS I have an unreasonable assumption that the code Scrivener produces would state 346x259 POINTS instead of 346x259 PIXELS. If we cannot get on the same page about that, then this conversation isn't really going to go much f...
