Small Indent for Scenes

Hi there,

I am getting confused when trying to compile. I would like to have the Section Title and text as shown but subsequent sections to have a small indent. Does anyone know how to do this? I feel like it should be so obvious but I can't see it.

Kind Regards

Re: Question about Custom Metadata

If you do need some kind of “global text” concept, the best tool for the job is the <$include> tag, which injects the main text content of one item into the place where you type in the tag. Either type that in and create an internal document link to the other binder item with the text, or specify t...

Question about Custom Metadata

Hi there, When I create a custom metadata tag in the sidebar titled 'Dedication' and give it a value, it doesn't seem to be global. I have to put that data in on every page that I use it before compiling. For example, it works here (which I would expect) https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/51/d5/tF3e32Dr_t.p...

Re: Underline and Italics

Keith, I noticed you fixed this in 3.0.1 - I just wanted to thank you. It's saved me a lot of trouble with older texts that had underlined words but needed to be sent to ePub 3.

Best Wishes.

Someone else might have a better idea...

That's great, Bridey. Thanks!

Um, I actually can't see that option under Edit Format. I'm using the ePub3 format.

Underline and Italics

Hi there, In Scrivener 2, I used to underline all my sections that I would want to later compile with Italics. There doesn't seem to be a transform underline option available anymore which is fine. However, how do I quickly go through older manuscripts that have been brought into Scrivener 3 and tel...

Re: Section Types - Quick Question

Looks like everyone here has you covered (and that section in the tutorial is very useful), but in short: if a section type is italicised, it means that you haven't assigned a particular section type to the document, and it is just using the default type for its place in the binder based on "D...

I think I understand. I'll check that section in the manual. Thanks everyone.

Section Types - Quick Question

Hi there,

In Scrivener 3, we have the very nice Section Types. These are incredibly useful and much better than the way it was before. However, can anyone explain the difference as to why some section types are in regular type and some are in italics?

Left Indent Problem

Hi there, I've noticed that on my Mac, If I open preferences, select the formatting pane and then set the left indent to 0.00 in, and then save this as a template, Scrivener does not seem to respect the template setting. When I create a new project, the left indent has moved to -0.01. I guess this i...

Adjusting the Ruler Bar

Hi there,

I often find it really difficult to slide the tabs to exactly where I want them. I use the track pad on my Mac but often the tab slides to small values either side of what I want. Is there anywhere in Scrivener where these can be set in a numerical box?
