Re: Table of Contents Pages

Hi Marcusss, If you really wanted to do it this way, you would have to make sure that Scrivener uses the exact same layout as your word document does. This means the same page size, margins, same fonts, same character and line spacing, same 'break-logic' etc. I think this is tricky. Also, I don't th...

Re: Binder to show only a sub-folder, with hierarchy

Hoisting the Binder

Page 109 of the Manual. Section 6.3

Not quite the term I was googling, but this is exactly it.

Binder to show only a sub-folder, with hierarchy

Hi, apologies in advance, this should be straightforward. I had a setup that I liked, but I cannot find my way back to it and I am probably searching with the wrong terms. I would like the binder to only show a single folder of my project, with the hierarchy still there. I have tried my way around c...

Re: Papers 3 Citations Not Working After Update?

The issue here is that Papers 3 is in its last days. Since it was bought by Readcube it is not being developed and will be replaced with a new reference manager (that, to my knowledge, will not have a magic citations function). I am amazed that they are still issuing new releases. And contacting sup...

Re: Full Screen - Jumps in text

Hi, I just want to flag that this issue is still there, possibly worse, as my editor behaves as if typewriter scrolling is turned on when I work at a custom zoom factor. As in the past, I'll adjust the zoom to make Scrivener behave, but I think you should be aware there is a mode where Scrivener doe...

Re: Highlight of selected text not always visible

Thanks for your reply.

However, the post is not about the actual style, or no-style, but about the visibility of highlights when made to text.

It seems there is an inconsistency there. At least to the user. Just confirmed this is still true in beta 20.

Highlight of selected text not always visible

Hi, I am getting mixed results when I highlight selected text in the editor. Sometimes the highlight extends above the selection indication (the blue color by default), which is good, as it provides an indication that the highlight has been applied. But not always! Sometimes the highlight is applied...

[LH3162] Current-line highlighting

Hi, in the Mac version the preferences allow you to change the colour of the current-line highlight. I cannot find this option in the Windows beta, but it would be great to have it.

Touch bar formatting (Script mode)

Hi, I have been given one of those new Macs with touch bar. It takes a while to get used to. I am experimenting with Script Mode now and realised that formats can be set using the touch bar, which seems a very good use of it. However, and I think this is a bug, the General Text and General Text (Cen...

Re: Full Screen - Jumps in text

Exactly. Thanks for the background--it confirms my suspicion. And you are right, it does not happen when the window is resized. Just an unlucky combination of settings. I like the ability to set my own zoom factor. Rather than giving the user the exact zoom that is entered, it may be an idea to 'sna...

Re: printing pages are off

Assuming you work on Mac (probably, this is the Mac forum), if you go in File > Page Setup, you get a small window. At the top is a drop-down menu that says Page Attributes. If you click and choose Scrivener, there is a host of settings you can play with. It might be that margins are set different t...

Re: Keyboard shortcuts for superscript and subscript

There are two spaces between 1. and 2. and again between 2. and 3.

That works for me.

Re: printing pages are off

Maybe your page setup in Scrivener does not match the printer page. You can set the page in File > Page Setup. Then if you print, make sure you use the same page dimensions. (E.g. both A4 size, or both Letter size.)
