Re: Uncheck All

Doesn't Option-Click on any item on the content item list applies for that purpose? Ah yes that works. However, I'm thinking of this as much from the UI UX point of view. I arrived at a point where I needed to uncheck a large number of items. I looked around and couldn't immediately see anything in...

Uncheck All

Idea: Add a button that allows unchecking all the elements in the compile.

How to insert endnotes

I see the function to insert Endnote Marker and I assume that it applies to adding endnotes to a document but its not clear how you use it. The section on menus in the manual appears to stop at selection , and doesn't cover any items below that in the edit menu. A search in the manual didn't reveal ...

Re: Any way to write text on the connecting line?

The closest I think you can get is to insert another note as opposed to putting the text on the line. If you click on the line you will generate a new note that is in the line and then you can style the note in an appropriate way to your needs. Thus in your example click on the line, type Orange and...

Feature Request

I couldn't find an appropriate section of the forum to post feature requests so this seemed to be the best location. Although I like the "simplicity' of Scapple and wouldn't like to see it get bloated I would like the ability to be able to link to an item within the document. That is make it a ...

Re: Loss of Label Data?

Ah, thanks for prompting me to make backups.

I do tend to get complacent because Scrivener and OS X tend to work so well.

Re: Loss of Label Data?

Thanks for the feedback. There is only one copy of .scrivx File is only maintained on one machine. Also I doubted that sync'g with Aeon would be the problem but I thought I'd mention it. I'll report back if the problem resurrects itself. Currently - I closed the file after making edits then opened i...

Loss of Label Data?

Symptom: Opened a file this morning and found that the Label and Status Lists had been reset to default values. All the additional labels I previously added had been removed. In addition the setting from the view menu that colored icons with the color of the label, which was previously set, had been...

Re: Ability to Grab a reference URL when clipping web page

Yep, good approach.

My suggested approach is based on the fact that I keep the browser and S. on different desktops and so I avoid dragging.

Ultimately though it would be better if the original capture by S. included the URL as with DTV.

Re: Ability to Grab a reference URL when clipping web page

A simple workaround for capturing the URL is to make two captures, one of the URL and one of the text that you need. Label the first capture as the URL, thus "Stone Age Link" Label the second capture as the subject, thus "Stone Age History" Make the second capture a child of the ...

Re: Clip and grab URL

Ah, thx.

I just posted on the wish list.

If you look at Devonthink it will do exactly what I described.

Of course its possible that the architecture of Scrivener would prevent it but in theory it's certainly doable.

Ability to Grab a reference URL when clipping web page

It would be handy if the clipping service could grab the URL from any web pages that are used for clippings. A current similar implementation would be that used in Devonthink. Using services you can clip a selection as a plain note and DTP will create a new note and attach the URL of the page from w...

Clip and grab URL

Is there a way to grab the url of a clipping and insert the URL into the reference meta data? For instance if I grab some text from wikipedia on treatment for bubonic plague I also want to know the source of the information for future reference. At the moment it appears to me that you have to make t...
