Very strange - I've never seen glitchy behaviour in this myself and I don't believe we have had any similar reports (albeit one, which was slightly different and I don't think related). When text reverts to Helvetica, it usually means that the font is not available, which is strange. Some text migh...

After using Cousine for a while, I came to the conclusion that I could live with hyphens/dashes not being super-distinct—but I was spending far too much time squinting at the screen trying to tell which way English typographic quotes were pointing. Very helpful; thank you! I found this for the first time this week, after switching back to Scrivener following a brief dalliance with Ulysses, and was delighted to see how easy is to do this.

Anecdotal evidence, I know, but I installed High Sierra last night and Scrivener 2 ran just fine on it, APFS and all. As long as your Mac meets the requirements, you should be fine.
