Sometimes I forget to keep my laptop recharged--I work at coffee shops so this can be very frustrating as there are few electric plugs available in the coffee shops where I live. So I'm looking at several options (battery recharger, learning better habits) including buying Scrivener for iOS. My thin...
For some reason I am endlessly forgetting to close my documents (I usually just shut down the whole program) on my desktop iMac and hen find myself at a coffee shop on my MacBook and there's the warning about the document already being open, can't edit, do you want to make a copy. Ugh. I'm hesitant ...
Thanks, AmberV. Your point of going back to the back-up is good one--except that it is quite likely that the user may have clue that he has opened an older file. say you heavily edited chapters 1 through 7, but you open it up and start working on chapter 8. It could be a very long time before you lo...
Another follow up. Before I was opening the file from the "Open Recent" drop down box. Just now I tried opening the same file via the Finder. I was presented with a dialog box warning me that there were two versions of there file, one dated last night from my iMac and the other from my lap...
Hello, I'm just getting rolling with Scrivener. I'm working on a new project and I seem to have lost some text. There is a way to keep the Medium posts as drafts and then to export them--I forget the details now but it it fairly straightforward as I remember. This workflow does give you proper titles for each document, although the word "Draft" and the date are there, too.
I wonder if just an easier way of switching between themes might be a good option for this, perhaps having a "Themes" submenu in the "Scrivener" menu... Hmm. All the best, Keith Well, since you mentioned it...I wasn't going to post anything about this because you just released t...
I'm having a bit of difficulty upgrading to v3. I opened v3 and saw that it wanted me to enter my old serial number etc. So then I opened v2 and--here's the first bit of weirdness--it acted like it was still a trial. There was some sort of dialog box asking me to try to automatically check for the a...
