The XML file is very readable. If you have a Scrivener project you want to turn into separate files without using Scrivener, it's not that hard to do by hand.
One of many reasons to have confidence in Scrivener.
I like Nisus and have a license. I like the split edit window and I use mail merge every time Congress needs a good volley from a taxpayer. Those are things Mellel doesn't support. Sadly, Congress is always a target of mass deception. The draft view in Nisus is another cool thing. I miss that when I...
If the original poster is still around, I'd like to share some thoughts. The observations about styles are what led me to set Scrivener aside. I paid for an update to version 3 and did not seek a refund because I like what Literature and Latte does. They empower writers and a lot of people get work ...
It was new. It was shiny. I upgraded. Bad nerd! I'm seeing some crash reports on exiting Scrivener, which I'm pretty sure are related to Big Sur. I think I saw a post saying there was a Scrivener build that fixed some Big Sur issues but I can't find the post. Is there a version beyond the current pr...
For another half-turn of the dragon's tail, it looks to me like Scrivener V3 projects inside DevonThink databases work fine. I even made a DevonThink template out of an empty Scrivener project, so I don't even have to leave DevonThink to start a new Scrivener file/project/Polynesian moai. Of course,...
If you manage to hit Command-A, all your text will be selected and then replaced on the next keystroke. You may even have a keyboard problem, or you may be hitting a key rollover limitation. Few keyboards have "n-key" rollover. Many have just two key rollover. My Apple wired keyboard seems...
Keith, you have a most wonderful philosophy of customer support. My only regret is popping off and consuming so much of your time! Dropbox works great, and I guess I need to man up and install it on my systems. I have shied away because I can't get away from iCloud and didn't want to install a secon...
This is truly a mystery to me. A package, such as a Scrivener project, is just a directory. Finder will show you its contents with the Show Package Contents option in the action menu, and at a shell prompt/terminal window, you can just "cd" into it like any other directory. I think the rea...
How are you creating your OPML? I have an Applescript[1] that takes references in Bookends and converts them to OPML, and it uses standard XML character encoding for line feed that correctly import in Scrivener: ( &#nnnn; is the character encoding format and 10 is the decimal codepoin...
I would like to preserve hard line endings in imported OPML. However, 0xa characters are getting stripped out and the the text reflowed. I’m importing to the synopsis cards. Is there a way to include a hard line ending in an import? Maybe a character other than 0xa? Word wrapping is welcome. I want ...
I'd like to get in on this. It's always been pretty obvious Literature and Latte is a company with genuine interest in writers of all stripes right down to unpublished hacks like me. That captivated me from first learning about Scrivener. I've been to four book store events in the last couple of yea...
When I go to the Scrivener menu and choose "check for updates" I get a dialog box that says, "Update Error! An error occurrred in retrieving update information. Please try again later." There is a "Cancel Update" button. I realize there probably aren't any updates yet, ...
Ha ha, I wondered how long it would take for someone to complain about the icon. Every single time any app changes its icon, someone dislikes it! It took us a long, loooong time to find an icon we really liked. I disagree that it is Aqua or a throwback, because we were careful to use flat colours. ...
