Well, now we both know how to address it, thanks to our more knowledgeable friends here. Good luck!

Re: Is there an easy way in Scrivener to convert a story

You can turn any template into any other template simply by adding or changing the content of the binder, and possibly some styles. It would help to know exactly what effect you want to achieve by changing the template, because then I think people would be able to explain how you could achieve what...

Re: Window Q2

Being accustomed to hearing "When it's ready!" from the gaming world, the delay doesn't trouble me as much as it seems to be troubling others. In the meantime the current Windows client seems perfectly sufficient to me.

Re: What is your preferred keyboard?

I just used a bit of my tax refund to replace my ancient Dell keyboard (it used to serve as a gaming keyboard and some of the letters were worn completely off) with a simple little AmazonBasics keyboard. Inexpensive, compact, and most importantly...quiet.

Re: When to quit...?!

It was actually after I got Scrivener and started tinkering with it that I dragged an old WIP of my own out of the filing cabinet and began working with it. Getting excited about it because Scrivener does what it does so well. My WIP was stuffed into an untidy loose-leaf binder, now it's being gradu...

Re: currently reading

I have a particular fondness for apocalyptic fiction, so when I spotted Tomorrow! by Philip Wylie on a doom-themed list, I checked it out. Both the novel and the author were unfamiliar to me. Despite being written back in '54, when the Cold War was quite a different beast, the book has aged well. It...

Re: True or False??

The brain works best when the body is kept busy with something tåwhich the brain doesn’t have to pay attention to. This has been tested in numerous experiments. Some take a walk, I muck the stables. I have found this works best for me. Doing some task around the house...cleaning, cooking, whatever....

Re: How to improve writing skills?

Everyone's already covered the basics: read a lot, write a lot. Even if it's just emails, you're honing your writing skills each time your fingers start that magical keyboard dance. In addition to what's already been suggested I'd add the great spectator sport of people watching. On the job, on publ...

MasterClass: who's tried it?

For some time now, ads for something called "MasterClass" have been appearing in my Facebook feed. I'm sure that's a result of the different groups and subjects I'm interested in; the site's algorithms are pretty spot-on. In particular Neil Gaiman's storytelling class keeps popping up and ...

Re: Revisit previous years events?

I'd have to check and make sure my work and life schedule would cooperate before committing to it, of course...but yes, I'd be interested.

We'll only have the chapter name and your author byline.

Understood, thank you. I'm about halfway through!
