Re: "The Scrivener Difference!" - BOOK

Now I certainly feel silly--I just took the survey and one of my suggestions was the very link posted. Oops.

Re: Lions, and tigers, and...viruses?

It is also "regular flu season" here ... that means every sniffle, cough, fever is fostering panicked screams of "I HAVE MEXICAN BEER VIRUS!!!!" It's even more amusing when you're afflicted with seasonal allergies, as I am. You get the hairy eyeball every time you sneeze. :shock...

Welcome. You will find here a very friendly and supportive community for those of us who like to scribble our dreams.

(it totally counts as "scribbling" if you're doing it on a keyboard, methinks)

Re: What are you writing?

At the moment I'm doing some organizing on "my baby", a fantasy trilogy that begins in the 90's and will wind up...quite a long time into the future, possibly millennia. Scrivener, naturally, is a huge help in that regard. And with a little time to myself at last, I should stop posting abo...

Re: Importing a Scrivener project...into another Scrivener project?

Yes, it's a thing. Note, however, that the imported files become part of the destination project, with no connection to the original source. So if you import the concordance into Project A, then make changes, it's up to you to make sure the changes are reflected in Project B. Katherine Understood (...

Importing a Scrivener project...into another Scrivener project?

Good morning, all, and before I go any further let me wish you all a merry Christmas/holiday/Festivus/Hogswatch/whatever you call it. May it be a happy one. I've finally got some downtime to work with "my baby", and I was checking out the "import" function yesterday and spotted t...

It sounds as though you're stuck in "fullscreen mode". I assume you've tried "Esc" already (that's how you get out of that)?

Re: currently reading

At the moment I'm reading The Jewish-Japanese Sex and Cook Book and How to Raise Wolves by Jack Douglas. This singularly titled little gem turned up in one of my library-themed social media feeds and when I found our system had one lone copy, I put a hold on it. Mostly so I could enjoy the expressio...

Re: Is there an easy way in Scrivener to convert a story

You can turn any template into any other template simply by adding or changing the content of the binder, and possibly some styles. It would help to know exactly what effect you want to achieve by changing the template, because then I think people would be able to explain how you could achieve what...

Re: Window Q2

Being accustomed to hearing "When it's ready!" from the gaming world, the delay doesn't trouble me as much as it seems to be troubling others. In the meantime the current Windows client seems perfectly sufficient to me.

Re: What is your preferred keyboard?

I just used a bit of my tax refund to replace my ancient Dell keyboard (it used to serve as a gaming keyboard and some of the letters were worn completely off) with a simple little AmazonBasics keyboard. Inexpensive, compact, and most importantly...quiet.

Re: When to quit...?!

It was actually after I got Scrivener and started tinkering with it that I dragged an old WIP of my own out of the filing cabinet and began working with it. Getting excited about it because Scrivener does what it does so well. My WIP was stuffed into an untidy loose-leaf binder, now it's being gradu...
