Re: How to add a word to IOS speller

I tried a number of soft keyboards, including Grammarly, Gboard, Prokeyboard and SwiftKey, to no avail. Swypes no longer seems available (at least in my Canadian app store), so I wasn't able to test that one. If anyone has has better luck with a different keyboard, I'd love to hear about it.

Re: How to add a word to IOS speller

I'd appreciate knowing even if it is simply NOT possible to add a word to the dictionary from within Scrivener on my iPad.

Thanks.

How to add a word to IOS speller

I have probably missed something, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to add a word to the speller on my iPad from within a Scrivener document. Can someone please enlighten me? Thx.

Feeling rather stupid,

Barry

Looks like the publisher had a little hiccup. Things seem to work fine now.

Speech writing, anyone?

Yet another little book that owes its entire existence to Scrivener and Scapple: http://bit.ly/1rXfeSV.

Announcing a new blog: Everything Scrivener

Hi everyone, To repay my debt to Scrivener and the wonderful folks behind it, I have launched a blog called Everything Scrivener that aggregates news and stories about the application. You'll find it at everythingscrivener.wordpress.com. The basic idea is to serve as a clearinghouse for valuable inf...

Re: from MindManager to Scrivener ?

I'm not a Windows user, but with the Mac version of Scrivener all you have to do is export from MM as an opml file and then import the opml file into Scrivener. All levels import quickly and correctly. Hope that may help you.

Re: The big push

You might want to have a look at Susan Bell's The Artful Edit: On the Practice of Editing Yourself (W. W. Norton, 2007) for about 200 pages of the best advice you'll ever receive, written in some of the most beautiful non-fiction prose you'll ever read.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I see I seriously misinterpreted "synchronization". I'll pay more attention next time.

Scriv to Scriv sync

I feel really stupid, but there is something I just don't understand about synchronization from one computer to the other. Here's my setup: I have Scrivener 2 running on both my iMac and my new Macbook Air (yay!). I have followed the video tutorial instructions for syncing with Dropbox but I can't f...

Re: Scrivener + MacBook Air = ♥

Hi all, I'm hoping someone experienced with the new MacBook Airs (11 and 13-inchers) can give me some sound advice. I am starting a major research and writing project that will demand portability and great battery life. I will routinely capture data in Devonthink Pro Office and organize and write in...

Manuscript for iPad

Like many people in this forum, I've been searching for an effective way of writing on my iPad and exchanging that data with Scrivener. I just bought an app called Manuscript for iPad (from Black Mana Studios) which, while not perfect by any means, permits the exchange of straight text files of any ...

Re: free Writeroom for iPod/iPhone

Yes, but what if you could write in WriteRoom on your iPhone, sync your documents with the writeroom.ws service, and then download any documents you write directly into Scrivener? Hmm?

Oh but you're a sly dog, Mr. Blount..
