Affinity software is great. It's also true that Publisher is a brand-new product, whereas Windows Scrivener users have been waiting for years for the official release to catch up to the Mac version. Affinity also doesn't lock their users out two or three times a month. Let's make the comparison fair.
I haven't noticed this problem yet since installing Beta 36. My setup was vertical split with one copyholder. I don't remember whether the split side with the copyholder was locked. It might have been.
Is there a way to make resizing "sticky," e.g. the Synopsis and Notes windows in the Inspector, either in standard or Composition mode? Ditto for the Inspector panel in a Quick Reference.
Is there already a way to do this? It doesn't seem to stick if I resize and then save the layout.
"Backpfeifengesicht" is the thought that often occurs to me also when I read the Scrivener forum, but for a different reason. A user offered feedback, and a couple of other users agreed with the feedback. I personally agree with the feedback too. Now, I use a lot of beta software, I comple...
I can't seem to add or view comments or footnotes in a document opened in a copyholder. The comments pane background says "No Text Loaded." Mouseover works fine, and the comments and footnotes pane works fine in a regular window.
It's really inconvenient not having those searches. Is it possible to roll back to an earlier version until this is resolved? Which version should I roll back to?
I'm having trouble with global search too. All of my saved search collections (keywords) are returning empty, as is any new global search for a label, keyword, or status. Clicking "rebuild the search index doesn't help," and I'm not even sure it does anything since it only briefly opens a ...
I was having trouble with this on the last beta, and it's still a problem in this one: sometimes when I try to resize columns in Outline view, the pointer jumps off the app window and the column gets resized as enormous and cannot be made smaller.
This is a document I just imported from version 1.9. I'm running Windows 10 v1903. I can make the last outliner column bigger but not smaller, because the double-arrow pointer suddenly jumps off the editor and to the upper-right corner of the app window. Adding another last column and then deleting ...
@Bridger Ignore the Scrivener fanboys who feel the need to get nasty and pile on for a week after the original post anytime anyone makes the slightest criticism of Scrivener or the way L&L runs its business. I think you've probably gotten the point that you downloaded the wrong version if you me...
The issue is whether enough people would be willing to pay for Scrivener on Android. I would also be willing to bet that many Scrivener users considering a buying new tablet might grit their teeth and pony up for an iPad even though they would rather use Android. I almost did. Note the word "al...
