Re: Bug 2.9.0.29 beta, start panel open when closing and opening scrivener, despite option checked

Thanks. Of course, it works when I uncheck that option. That is not the problem. It's still a bug, because I want the start panel to show when I have no project open. The problem is that this panel shows even if I have a project opened when I quit scrivener. When, in fact, it is suppose to show onl...

Re: Feedback wanted: Integration with Aeon Timeline

Aeon Timeline does the integration, and it uses custom metadata to store dates and other synchronized information. You should be able to go to outline mode to add those dates as columns. Thanks, but that doesn't appear to be the case with Version: 1.9.15.0. There are no custom meta data fields in '...

Release notes for Win Scriv 1.9.x

NOT A SHOW STOPPER. However, I just updated my Win Scriv 1.9.15 to 1.9.16 and wanted to check the Release Notes to see what all was being changed, fixed, whatever. From the update screen (update within Scrivener) there was a link to the Release Notes page, but it was not clickable (meaning it went n...

Re: Bug - Spellcheck false positive if word ends with an apostrophe

I'd like to note a very similar bug / issue, which likewise needs to be resolved: When a footnote abuts a word anywhere in the midst of text (e.g., at the end of a word within a sentence), that word is then flagged as misspelled. Scrivener should recognize that the given word and the first word in ...

Re: [Beta 26] Styles for footnotes?

It's very possible that I simply don't understand the wealth of options that are now available under "Compile" and that somewhere in there is the tool I need. Unfortunately the Tutorial project has only very sketchy information about the compile options, and we still don't have a draft ma...

Re: [BUG] Style selection list behavior (drop-down box on ribbon)

I think this is already a known bug. I know I reported it. But you're right -- it is very annoying. Other bits of that toolbar don't act that way. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=55038&p=283674&hilit=dropdown+style#p283674 Hmm. No bug number. Odd. Yep, conf...

Re: Bug 2.9.0.24 beta, editing shortcut for invisibles characters does not work

Hi, I was trying to edit a new shortcut to show/hide invisibles characters, because the one by default (Ctrl+Shift+\) does not work with my keyboard (probably because to write \, I have to press Alt Car+#). So, I opened the options window -> keyboard, then changed the shortcut to Ctrl+Alt+i, clicke...

Re: Inspector Footnotes cannot be exported as footnotes, only endnotes

Do I have it correct that in the Windows 3.0 Beta, it is not possible to export inspector footnotes as footnotes in Word (that is, on the bottom of the page on which the note occurs) but only as endnotes? Can confirm: when compiling to .ODT format, Beta 24 exports footnotes as endnotes. I am sure i...

Re: Vellum compile format not creating vellum styles in word document.

Hi Jestar, Thanks for your response. If you click on "Microsoft Word (.docx)" in the "Compile for:" list, I think you'll see a Format in the left panel named "Vellum Export" In my copy of the Windows Beta, it's the last one listed--just about where "Script or Scre...

Re: Vellum compile format not creating vellum styles in word document.

So I decided to try to use Vellum instead since Scrivener appears to have a compile format for that. However, when I compiled using that format Vellum failed to recognize the styles, What Vellum format? compile-formats.png Secondly, if that is the case, will a book written in the windows beta open ...

There is still an issue with possessiveness (that's a lot of s'es) for words that end in s within single quotes.

Re: updates do not remove previous entries in SETTINGS-APPs

Do get this problem when running the built-in updater, or when downloading the full installer and running it right over an existing installation? I've seen it happen with the latter, but not so much (or at all) with the former. Just wondering given the wording. I happens with both of those methods....

Re: New Beta version via Update-option OK?

Using the updater alone is OK, testing out the updater, however, you should be aware that it leaves pieces parts (and parts is parts) of the previous versions lying around. You can see this in the Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. I usually use the downloadable version rather than the built-in u...

Re: [Beta 22] Scrivener loses track of where it is, with double-clicks

- No Location key was present, after the very careful full deinstall-alls and clean install 64-bit Beta 22 as admin - I put in the key, pointed it to C:/Program Files/Scrivener, and no more problem. - Now I have clean Scrivener startup on double-clicked project .scrivx files. Just to be sure, check...
