Re: Making it easier to identify the location of comments and footnotes in the inspector

This is better in Scrivener 3, the "selected" comment/footnote border is now coloured and more salient, but there is no "animated" flash which would help even more. I suspect there is some technical limitation why there is no animation in the inspector whereas there is in the ed...

Making it easier to identify the location of comments and footnotes in the inspector

If I am in the "inspector" and click on a footnote or comment the corresponding item is briefly highlighted in the document by a change of color and is thus easily found. But if I click on a footnote or comment in the document the inspector opens but the corresponding item is not briefly h...

I did right click and there is no option to zoom in. That only seems to be there for comments and footnotes. See screen shot.

Re: Spellcheck, smart quotes, & em-dash autocorrections won't work

I've found this a persistent but unpredictable bug that began with Sierra. The only solution I've found is to close Scrivener, and when it's finished writing the backup file, to restart the system. It's 100% effective, at least for me. I had similar problem but with a twist. When I opened up a new ...

Re: Zotero integration please!!!

I want use zotero or mendeley as this person in this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_GlGyzuTMw&t=636s Watch 10th minute! Since I don't understand Spanish, what exactly is it that he is doing that you want to do? Also it is from 2015 and since then Zotero has gone through a major...

Re: Zotero integration please!!!

For Bookends, you can use an existing directory to link to your existing PDFs, but it probably will not handle sub-folders. But it does usually work with PDF files directly and not aliases (I think anyway, I haven't tested it). 20,000+ PDFs is a colossal amount  I found that BookEnds works w...

Re: Zotero integration please!!!

If you want to be even more productive, you may find my recently released Bookends Tools for Alfred useful: https://github.com/iandol/bookends-tools For Scrivener, they package methods to search texts selection in Scrivener directly in Bookends, a tool to create OPML files from selected references ...

Re: Zotero integration please!!!

:D I would prefer to be writing than tracking down software bugs. Honestly: don't use Zotero. You get what you pay for, and Zotero is free/open source[1]. I do use Zotero to maintain a shared reference list with one collaborator, but it is painful to use compared to Bookends. Bookends was rel...

Re: ASenior Discount

When do you become so "senior" that you need a discount? I have a colleague who turns 80 this year and he is still actively doing field research in tropical rain forests. But I have other colleagues who essentially stopped being productive before they reached 60. The official age of compu...

Re: ASenior Discount

+1. At 66 I guess I qualify, but truth is, I find the pricing so reasonable I wouldn't support a discount for us old farts. Ask me when I'm 75 and finally give up working :) Scrivener is very high value for the price. And because it is so reasonable no one bothers to pirate it. Whereas high price s...

Re: ASenior Discount

That would be nice. Saw a 15 or 20 dollar charge for those of us 60 or older. Or for that matter, a discount for the disabled, which I would also qualify for. I am a semi retired senior and IMHO after examining many others that try to do the same this software would a bargain at 3 X the current pri...

Changing font size in Inspector reference field

Is there a way to increase the font size for the reference pane in the Inspector? Even with glasses it is not easy to read.

customizing tool tips

I looked in the manual but couldn't find anything. Is there a way to increase the size of the tool tip font. It seems that the longer I work the smaller the font gets.

Considering that this is now 2017 could we do an updated version of this survey?
