Re: Italic causes incorrect font

Unfortunately there's a known bug in the latest version of 3.2 that can cause Compile to throw an error (and not appear) if it was set to override the Compile format font. I'll have a 3.2.1 fix out for this tomorrow. All the best, Keith Thanks, Keith. Thanks as ever for being responsive, conscienti...

Re: Italic causes incorrect font

Yes, for anyone experiencing this issue, please delete your copy of Scrivener 3.2 and re-download from the site (Check for Updates won't do anything because the version is still 3.2). Build 14343 fixes it. Normally I would do an incremental update for this (so available via Check for Updates), but ...

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

I have 13.2.3 and it did not fix the problem. I think, like me, many have given up on syncing to iOS or have been using the manual solutions suggested elsewhere. It sounds to me like it's a memory allocation issue as some have suggested. Whatever it is, it isn't fixed. This is exactly where I am on...

Re: What is the fix for sync failure with ios13.1 and Dropbox?

David, elsewhere it was suggested that maybe (maybe!) it is a problem only on newer devices. For me that is the case. My iPhone SE is a couple of years old and has no problems with syncing on iOS 13. My iPad Mini 5 is brand new and did sync on iOS 12 but not on the new iPadOS. Is your iPad older an...

Re: What is the fix for sync failure with ios13.1 and Dropbox?

Weirdly enough (or perhaps not, now that the two systems are distinct) I have had zero problems with Scrivener sync on the new iPadOS. It is only the iPhone's iOS 13.1 that breaks sync. Since others have posted on this thread I want to add that piece of information. Now, off to the discussion thread...

What is the fix for sync failure with ios13.1 and Dropbox?

Hi, I upgraded to iOS 13.1 last night and now Scrivener on my iPhone quits as Dropbox sync begins. I had been on 12.4 before. What is the fix or workaround here? I thought perhaps I should set up sync from scratch but I am reluctant to do the work if it won't make a difference. Anyone know what to d...

Re: Weird behaviour when opening PDF on iPad

I have a similar problem. Changes I make in PDF Expert don't show up in the PDF that's in the Scrivener iOS project. However, in my case, after sync they don't show up on the Mac either! Of course in Mac Scrivener there is a symbol to click to update the PDF in the project to take on all the changes...

Re: Upgrading a project from V2 to V3 questions and feedback

I've been running Scrivener 2 and the Scrivener 3 beta in parallel for months and haven't run into any issues. However, unless you need Scrivener 2 for backward compatibility to an older machine, you'll probably find that it's easier to just switch everything to Scrivener 3. Katherine Thank you, Ka...

Re: Wrap text

I would try the fixed width option before turning it off, David. It's much improved over Scrivener 2's, and, as I say, wraps when you narrow the editor. Fair enough. No sense adding salt before tasting what the chef has prepared! Looking forward to moving up to 3. Just have to finish one more long ...

Re: Upgrading a project from V2 to V3 questions and feedback

Today I downloaded V3 and started to upgrade a project from V2 to V3. I was unpresently surprised that the update process didn't migrate any of my Preferences nor any of my Compile-Formating. I had to reinstall V2 in order to be able to see what they were! /Dave Hi, Dave, Are you finding that you c...

Re: Wrap text

I'm surprised people want to turn this off! I wonder if this isn't a by-product of the divide between people who feel they need to see their text formatted as closely as possible to their imagine output at all times vs. those who don't worry about it until Compile. I agree. Another element is that ...

Re: importing/exporting by dragging icons has stopped working

Thanks, I'll try that. Curious whether anyone else has encountered this. On Apple user forums, there have been some mentions of problems since the last update of Yosemite.

importing/exporting by dragging icons has stopped working

I think this is a Yosemite issue but I'm curious what Scrivener users in particular can do about it, if anything. Until recently, it was a simple thing for me to take a doc from one Scrivener project and put it in another, or into a Scapple file, or into my email app, etc. I just selected the icon a...

Re: Scapple no longer saves automatically

That was it! My hard drive recently died, and in recreating my system I must have tinkered with that setting (after all, it sounds like such a good idea, to ask before quitting!).

Thanks! Both for the solution and for the explanation of the difference between the two apps.

Happy New Year,

Scapple no longer saves automatically

Not a biggie, but I have noticed that lately Scapple is no longer automatically saving every few seconds, as it once did. The red dot used to go back to clear quite quickly; now, I notice when I go to quit or close a Scap, I get the "do you want to save changes?" question. Even if I have d...
