Re: Contraction problems on iPadOS 13 beta

Just chiming in to say I'm seeing this too! Ah, the joy of Beta.

Re: Bug: Opening a Web Page Crashes Scrivener

Actually, that worked perfectly! Thanks for clearing that up, Amber! Didn't know there were hidden options. Glad it's not a bug.

Re: Bug: Opening a Web Page Crashes Scrivener

Specifically, the issue happens with clicking on individual web pages to open them in the editor. I am able to view the cards in corkboard mode. I created a new project and tried to link the web pages that were giving me trouble—which worked fine, so it's something having to do with the existing scr...

Ooh! Any hints as to what's in the pipeline? :D

Bug: Opening a Web Page Crashes Scrivener

Hi, I've submitted this as a crash report, but I wanted to mention it here in case anyone has experienced this issue and is searching for a thread: I've saved a few web pages to the research folder, and, when clicking them, Scrivener immediately crashes to desktop. Running Scrivener 3.0.9 Tested on ...

Re: iPad 2018 or iPad Pro 10.5" ?

Another vote for the 12.9"! I love it. Can't read with one hand, but having owned a 9.7" that wasn't really tenable anyway. (And I have big hands!) Plus, the full size smart keyboard is great. Some people don't like the feel of the case, but never having to worry about charging it, or blue...

Re: "Include in Search" Checkbox

Thanks rdale and AmberV, the little magnifying glass is pretty close to what I was looking for! Is there a way to apply the same setting to the Quick Search bar? It's more useful to me for usually, since I can contextually see where the results are located. (E.g., the surrounding sentence, or whethe...

"Include in Search" Checkbox

Hi Keith, Apologies if there's already a way to do this; I'd love if there was an "Include in Search" checkbox right under "Include in Compile". (Or, alternatively, a way to limit search to your manuscript folder.) My project will often contain multiple copies of chapters (so I c...

Re: Dual Dialogue

Incredible! Thank you Keith!

Imagine my surprise: I booted up the forums to find an answer to a totally unrelated question—and found a thread I started almost a decade ago getting a resolution! This is perfect for my needs.

Re: I Just Had a Stroke of Genius

Also not sure about Windows, but in the Mac OS version of Scrivener, in "Distraction Free Mode", there's a slider on the lower right hand corner that you can use to adjust the transparency of your background. It shows whatever's behind the App, which can be your desktop wallpaper if you ha...

Re: Scapple for iOS

Why is Mindnode the obvious choice? IThoughts reads .scap files natively, which is as close to native Scapple support on iOS as you’re going to get. To be perfectly honest... It's because I missed the post on the previous page saying so! iThoughts sounds great! Thanks for pointing that out! (I do s...

Re: Scapple for iOS

In the mean time: does anyone have a good alternative for Scapple on iOS? It's not quite the same, but MindNode is the obvious recommendation. That said, if you have an iPad and a stylus, I've actually been pretty satisfied with Paper by 53. It's more of an illustration app, but it also has some wi...

Re: iOS trial for NaNoWriMo!

If this helps you decide... Do it! This my sixth year doing NaNoWriMo, and I've been using Scrivener for iOS since launch to great success. I know how hard it can be to find the time to make word count, and having the ability to jump right in whenever you have a moment of inspiration or a few minute...

Re: Scapple - New Beta Available (Updated 26/02/13)

Shift and Command gives two-way arrow, Option and Command gives arrow pointing back. Same here. I have a feature request, as well. It would be really helpful if you could "focus" on a node and it's children down to X number of branches. For instance, if a person clicked and held a node, e...
