Double-click the zip-file. That should result in a .scriv folder/package.

Oh, it was simple. I should have thought of that.

Thanks!

Re: Does anyone know anything about Story Planner App?

, I exported it as a Scrivener project and boom - there it all was, ready to be worked on. It's definitely worth looking at. Hi JT, On the basis of your post, I came back to look at it again to see if it might help me sort a plot problem. But I can't seem to work out the mechanics of getting the St...

Can't change label colours in the label pane

When I open the labels pane, to customise it - I can add and delete labels - I can edit their names - I can't change the colours of the labels. The window, and the manual, say I should double click the coloured disk associated with each label name, to edit it. But it doesn't work: double clicking th...

How to find the original file of an imported picture?

I've imported a couple of pictures into my manuscript, and stupidly didn't use the 'use linked image option' and worse, neglected to keep a note of where I imported them from, or what the file name was- so I can't search my HD find the original again. Is there some way to get that information back? ...

Does anyone know anything about Story Planner App?

Does anyone know anything about Story Planner App? I found it referenced in the Scrivener Mac forum under the bizarre heading of BREXIT (almost certainly as a piece of product placement, but wtf?) , and visited the site. It claims to be able to export its outlining stuff directly into Scrivener, som...

what is 'Zap Gremlins'?

Looking for other stuff, I found this option on the EDIT menu (EDIT - TEXT TIDYING - ZAP GREMLINS) but neither the forum here nor my friend Google has managed to explain to me what it does. Grateful for an idiot-proof explanation.

TIA

Is it possible to count words in a particular specified style?

My problem My manuscripts for educational textbooks contain three different kinds of text, all jumbled together on the page in an apparently random manner. There are: [*] picture briefs for illustrators, [*] notes for editors and layout people, [*] and finally the actual text that students will rea...

Template categories

I'm sure this must be possible, but I can't find an indication of how to do it. I'd like to make a couple of new categories for some of my templates, rather than just having everything thrown in a heap in MISCELLANEOUS or NON-FICTION. So when I start a new project, I can choose from mygroup1, and se...

Serial number not recognised

Hello. I've jut got my shiny new computer, and loaded scrivener no problem, but Scapple gives me a Wrong S/N error, even though I'm copying and pasting from the licence file.

I bought the program with order ST710441018 a long time ago. What am I doing wrong?

TIA

Line numbering turns on when I don't want it

Hello people I have a long project consisting of folders, sub folders and documents, whose outline structure was created via an import in opml format. I hope this works because it would help me enormously. So far I've only had one issue, but it's driving me crazy. The issue Any time I use the TAB ke...
