Finding the bar sign (...) in Scrivener

It seems that I've used the bar sign (…) incorrectly on some occasions, having added a comma after it. I want to find these throughout my text, but the search option doesn't allow me to look for punctuation marks it seems. Is there a way to search for ...'s?

Scrivener has little 'not responding' seizures

Especially when I'm working outside, Scrivener sometimes has little delays in registering my input. If it takes even longer, the tekst goes lighter and it says 'not responding' at the top. Cursor movement is normal during these 'seizures', but there's no response. I save on my Diskstation NAS. The W...

Re: I can’t seem to make a functioning ToC anymore

They only workaround right now seems to Compile the ToC as-is, but then I have to change the font and layout manually

...while this is how it should be, with a nice hierarchy, instead of a (vertically) flattened list.

Re: I can’t seem to make a functioning ToC anymore

After faking a print within Word, the page numbers in the TOC are back, but, the outlining is really weird. It wasn’t like this before. I want the normal layout of the ToC when it’s Special Copied in Scrivener, before the Compiling.

How do I fix this?

I can’t seem to make a functioning ToC anymore

L.S., I used to be able to make a table of contents in Scrivener, and then compile that within a PDF or RTF. I don’t seem to be able to do it anymore. - I selected all the chapters of my novel (using selecting the first one, then shift+selecting the last one), - I used Special Copy > Copy as TOC - I...

Re: Text layout in compile

This felt very unintuitive, but you have to go to the level of text that you want to edit, then go to the spacing distance, then to ‘More’, and adjust the indent at ‘ First Line’ , (or something similar, I’m working with a Dutch version).
Glad I found this out.

Re: How to preserve indentations, when exporting documents?

But how do you get your indentations back once their ‘lost’? I just can’t seem to adjust them.

Re: Text layout in compile

But now I seem to have lost my indentations at each paragraph, although I checked for ‘Yes’ when I was asked about this when changing the line spacing. How do I get my indentations back?

Re: Text layout in compile

You have to check ‘Override text and notes formatting’ in the upper left corner of the upper right part of the screen. This enables all those greyed-out options.

Text layout in compile

L.S., I’m probably missing something very simple here, but I just don’t understand. I want to compile, but since my publisher wants 1,5x spaces between lines, I wanted to convert that. In the compile Layout section, the lower half of the screen shows text in the different levels (‘Lorem ipsum dolor’...

It seems to be solved when you choose ‘As-is’ for the title page

Re: Compile layout/ edit compile

Hi Jim,

I’ve used a customized Compile format (“Format as: Customized” , or something similar in Dutch :) )

It’s really just that it says ‘ Title Page’ in the upper left corner of the title page, and I seem to have no way means of removing that, other than post-compile.
