Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

So, how badly does L&L want to fix this problem.... ?

Just an idea... why not pay someone to send their failing devices and offer a replacement in the meantime while its gone..

or may be take a flight to someone with a problem and work on it there.

The old story about a mountain ...

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

I'm sorry that hear that our problems have no solution. So I've decided to jump ship for my research part that I had in Scrivener for Devon Think (DT). The only thing I miss in DT is the capacity to see more than one document at the same time. Otherwise vastly more feature in DT. Ill still use Scriv...

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

Thanks Amber for the update.
What I read was that L&L has no idea about what happens and is not working closely with Apple to solve this unknown problem for us unfortunate customers.

This was unfortunate news for an otherwise lovely app.

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

I have the same experience, small projects yes, large no.

I would also appreciate if L&L could share a bit about what they are doing to solve this quite a large problem. I think we users deserve some concrete info.

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

I have the newest iPad Air and latest iPadOs 13.
I moved my files and managed to sych all files except 2 files.

The differences between the successful and the unsuccessful are that the unsuccessful file are ...
- bigger 25-400 mb
- contains embedded and bigger images, jpg, png, and pdf.

Many Table editing problem with MacOS high Sierra (Sc 3.02)

Hi, I have quite many problems with Table editing and compilation of Tables to MS Word. 1. The Table editor often does not match what is seen on screen. If I add or remove columns, rows then the numbering is often out of synch. So is colouring indications, etc. 2. It is sometimes difficult to remove...

Re: Custom compilation

Just few more technical questions.

Which RTF version is used?

So stylesheets are stored outside the RTF file? And the the styling of the text too? Or is that embedded in the RTF?

The reason I ask is that I wonder about the need created a custom made RTF reader.

oki, thanks.

What about the new stylesheets support? Does it intervene with the RTF format for each document (file)?

Custom compilation

Hi, Im looking for the possibility to develop a custom compile appl/application/plugin that generates a website. So I need to traverse the binder and look at each document to generate web oriented material. I need access to documents status, keywords, formatting, etc. Is there a standard way to do t...

Re: Encrypt the document in DropBox?

Thanks Katherine, I found some other threads on topic too. The reason for looking into more security is that US seems to have cancelled all data protection for non-US citizens. So we may have to be more careful. /A

Im not sure this exists. Is it possible to encrypt the document in DropBox? So that none can read it on the way to/from DropBox servers?
