Oh, I can paste pictures into RFT document? Interesting. I thought on the Mac side, it always forces me to convert to RTFD (at least when I'm using TextEdit to do that. I haven't tried elsewhere). Update: You're right! Yippee!! I also tested this in TextEdit. When I create a new document, type some ...
When you use the Convert Webpage to Text command, the webpage document does appropriately change to text format, but when you close then re-open the project, you'll discover that the file that was converted is gone! File not found! Here are my steps: 1. Add Web Page (I used this : https://www.inside...
For years I've used DEVONthink or download webpages although I've stopped using the WebArchive format long ago for many reasons including that it is deprecated. (See: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/webkit/webdatasource/1529856-webarchive?language=objc ) I recently started capturing web co...
On the Mac, .rftd is a format that's available for ScratchPad notes. However, Scrivener for Windows does not recognize this format. It seems that RFTD is not a format fully supported natively in Windows. However, can there be a workaround of sorts where Scrivener Windows accesses the .rtf file withi...
Perhaps "workflow" differences might be too broad a term. I really meant in terms of its UI and how things are organized. To be honest, in all these years of dabbling with Scrivener (which is at a very basic level), I'm still using it to jot down ideas, connect notes and thoughts, and mind...
I second having this documentation whether fully fleshed out or informal and incomplete :) I have Scrivener on all 3 platforms (Mac, Windows, iO S) though I mostly use it on the Mac and iOS. I only bought the Windows/Mac bundle back in 2017 when my computer at work became a PC. I don’t use Scrivener...
brookter wrote:Just a minor point, which I don't think has been mentioned yet. The new handwriting feature (Scribble) seems to work in scrivener, with the Apple Pencil, at least.
I've not tested it extensively, but so far it seems to work ok.
Wow! I'm going to have to try this! Thanks for posting!
I took the risk and updated both my iPhone and iPad Pro. I can't say I have extensively used Scrivener iOS under iOS 14, but so far it seems to work. I haven't encountered glitches yet. When/If I do, I'll write back.
Any possibility of adding the Scratch Pad feature for Scrivener on iOS? Someone recommended using Drafts to access the Scratch Pad folder (I have it in the cloud). A good workaround, perhaps, but it also seems a little silly to have a text editor for what is already a text editor (admittedly, beefed...
